An Illustrious Past

Double Celebration

   "Tita Helen, I'm planning for a double celebration." Leslie suggested.

   It is Christmas on the 25th of December at the same time, Adrian's birthday. Leslie planned ahead of time for that special day not only for Adrian, but also, for the whole family.

   " I actually like the idea Les," Tita Helen, Adrian's mom, approved. " We can celebrate Christmas here in our house together. The more, the merrier!"

   " But, I wanted this to be a surprise for Adrian.That's also why I made sure he's not around when I came here to discuss it with you."

   " Good idea. But how? I mean, this is a small neighborhood Les, we need to take note of that."

   " Of course. But as long as we keep this to ourselves, we can work things out, tita. Trust me."

   "I believe in you. So two families in one house. How's that?"

   "I need to ask my parents about it first, I have suspicions they might not agree, especially my father.I'll-"

   "I think, I can handle that." She said interrupting her. "I'm good at convincing people."

    "Really?"

    " Yes, my dear. Let me take care of that."

    " Thanks a lot Tita Helen!"

    They smiled at each other.

    "So, here's the plan!" Leslie shared with excitement.

On the 24th of December at 09:30 pm:

     Leslie dialled Adrian's number nervously, hoping that her plans will work...

     Adrian answered her call immediately. " Hmmm? Still awake?"

     Leslie sighed, "Yes , I am."

     "What's the problem Les?"

     "I hate a lonely Christmas."

     Adrian raised his voice, shocked. "What, you're alone?! You've got to be kidding me!"

     " Yes, I am. No matter how I tried to sleep, I can't. I feel so uneasy being alone."

     " Gosh Leslie! Where are they?" Adrian asked, really worried.

     "They're celebrating Christmas in a close friends house."

     " What's with those people?!  Their enjoying themselves while leaving you ALONE?! I'm coming over. "

     " You sure?"

     " Of course I am, Little mouse!"

     " Okay, I'll wait .Do it fast okay?"

     " Yeah. I'm on my way."

Leslie gave her family members a 'GO'  signal. To her command, they carefully sneaked at the back of their house and went their way to the Wright's residence, through the long path.

    Then the doorbell rang. Leslie instantly knew it was Adrian so she opened the door.

     Adrian rushed inside and hugged her tight. " Oh , Little Mouse, I thought something wrong happened to you."

     Leslie was shocked of Adrian's sudden action. Still caught by Adrian's hug , she managed to speak. " Mind to spend the night with me?"

     "No I don't. Good thing you informed me."Adrian let go of the hug.

     "What if I didn't?"
