An Illustrious Past

An Upcoming Adventure

    Adrian and Leslie sat in the waiting area of the airport together. He held her hand tightly.Adrian can feel the ray of nervousness in him and on Leslie's  palms.

    They sat together in silence. They just couldn't believe that once they were apart  and now everything's back to normal.

    Breaking the silence,  Leslie said. " Thank you for making me happy."

    "My pleasure, Little Mouse." He grinned."There's an adventure that awaits us both. I always want you to smile."

    Leslie was glad to have him by her side. She recalled the exchange of goodbye's they had. Instantly, something popped into her mind.

    So she asked him, "Earlier, Anna looked for you and she said a thing about 'you owe her something'.Can you fill me in?"

    "Ohh, it's a secret but I think it's safe to spill."

    "What's that?"

    "Didn't you wonder why, with an instant I returned here,knowing where exactly to find you?" He explained. " It's because of my love for you and because of Anna too."

   Leslie was shocked but she listened." When I was away, I only had connection with my mom and dad. Then one day, my mom called. At first, I thought it was her because it's her number yet it wasn't. I heard an innocent voice over the phone and recognized it was Anna. I felt happy that time since she updated me with the things happening to you. Sometimes she says you are crying , she makes me feel guilty. And in the span of time, using my mom's phone, she calls convincing me everytime to go back here and tell you that the feeling never changes. She is so concern about you, she doesn't want to see you sad."

    Leslie was touched by her sister's concern. "Awww. I love her so much! But what do you owe to her?"

    Adrian smiled. "Remember her , having so much love for chocolates?"

    Leslie laughed." You owed her chocolates?!"

    "A box of them!"

    They we're laughing together  most especially Leslie.

    "Oh, one more thing."Adrian added.

     "What?!"

     " I love you so much my princess. Will you be my girl?" He said kneeling down. Then, he pulled out a red box from his pocket. He opened it, and inside was a silver necklace with a crescent(moon) pendant.

     With so much satisfaction and happiness, she mouthed. "Yes! I love you too..."

   

     For the friendship of both was patched, they felt ecstacy at the same time sadness.

    A new adventure awaits them both.

    They maybe torn apart by distance and time yet, it brought something significant to their lives. It molded them into outstanding figures of success. It made them even stronger and most specially, it made their friendship like no other.

    It was indeed worth it to be called... "AN ILLUSTRIOUS PAST"
