An Illustrious Past

Just Like Before

    After they ate dinner Adrian asked Leslie to go out with him for an hour. He wants to go back to the different places they've been before.

    "Yeah sure! I'll be glad to.It's been long since the last time I had been to the park." Leslie replied.

    " You're leaving me?" Zane muttered.

    " Yeah. " Both of them replied.

   Zane smiled. "Go ahead lovebirds! Take care!"

   Adrian opened the door for Leslie. As soon as they were out, they started walking in silence. The only thing they can hear is their breath and sounds from different insects.

   " It's been long, Leslie."

   " Yeah. It is!"

  Adrian looked at Leslie. " I missed this walk to the park."

  Leslie looked at Adrian. " When you were gone and I pass this way, I always find myself crying."

   He apologized.

   She smiled, " It's just that I feel so lonely without you."

    " I feel the same, Little Mouse."She smiled.

    " How's France?"

    " It's fine. Nothing's really significant, I often stay inside the house. I don't go for a walk, I never even explored it."

    " Stop being a Lazy Cat."

    "We'll it's much more convenient for me to discover France with you."

    Leslie was glad of what he said. It again brought fireworks in her body once again.

    " Adrian, why are you taking me to France?"She asked politely.

    " Because I know we can start something new there. I want to discover France with you Leslie."

    Adrian slipped his hand into hers filling the gaps within her fingers. Leslie didn't hesitate to let him hold her hand since it was one of the things she missed---his touch.

    "Do you really mean that?" She clarified.

    " Of course! How is life here?" He inquired.

    " It's good. The university is quite far so they decided to rent an apartment and let me stay there while studying for college. That's how I met Zane."

    " Ohh. At first, I thought you were with your family. So, yeah I went there but  found only your mother. She was so glad to see me.Then she called your father and told him I'm around. He immediately got home from work. We talked about different things, including you. "

     "Me?"

     " Yes. I told them how much I missed you and love you. I told them about my plan."

     Leslie was silent as he was speaking.

     "As I have said earlier, they agreed." He said to her warmly.

     Leslie looked at his eyes sparkling like diamonds in the night. "You know, I never expected that something like this would happen. I thought I'd see you go home and never remember me anymore."

    "No Leslie, I will never forget the kind magic we had. "

   " And now, you are here beside me, holding my hand under the moonlight. It feels like... heaven , Adrian."

   " I know, it has always been like this when we're together, right?"

   " I agree, Lazy Cat ^_^!"

    Adrian instantly took her by his arms and carried her.

    "Hey! Put me down!" She screamed, slapping Adrian's arms.

    "hahah! You are my Little Mousy! You've grown heavier than before!" He laughed.

     " Adddriian!! PUT ME DOWN!"

     Adrian put her down and both of them were laughing.

     "Don't sue me for gaining weight! It's because of you! Lazy Cat!"

     "Me? What did I do? I didn't tell you to eat a two huge plates every meal!!!"

     Leslie slapped his arms! " I'm not like that, it's you!"

     " Don't worry, you are still the sexiest Leslie I have known here on earth!"

     " Oh shut up! "

     " True enough! hahaha. Look you are blushing!" Adrian teased her pointing at the cheeks.

     " Oh come on , Adrian! Stop it!" She covered herself with her long hair, embarrassed by his observation.

     "Why don't you claim it?!"

     " Because you are the best joker alive!"

     " Really? Very unbelievable. 0_0"

     He continued to tease her, " You are so gorgeous Little Mouse!"

     And again, blood stained her cheeks letting them be noticed even in the little lights of the streets.

    "Hohohoh! She's blushing again!"

Adrian exclaimed.

     Leslie stared at him badly. "You are not going to stop teasing?"

     Adrian smirked, enjoying. " Not yet! hohoh!"

     Leslie threw her handkerchief at this face and said, " Suit yourself!"

With all her might, she ran ahead of Adrian heading to the park which is already a few meters away.

    Adrian got hold of her handkerchief and smelled it. The scent was familiar. It was his cologne , then he looked closely at the handkerchief. It was when he realized he owned it- the very one she used to cover her eyes on Valentines day, five years back. He didn't know she kept it.

     Looking at the lovely figure running ahead of him he shouted,

" Wait up!" He smiled, remembering." I'm going to catch you Little Mouse just like the old times!"

     Leslie heard his cry from afar. She was quite exhausted from running but glad of the moment, she smiled. With a halt, she whispered to herself.

"Just like the old times, Lazy Cat !"
