Sarah's POV
I sighed as I sat in my room. I had my door open since it was getting stuffy, and so I could hear other conversations to keep me sane. Staying alone for a very long period of time with no sound is horrible. It makes you think you are on a planet where there was no life, just that little room you sat in.
People started running past my room in a hurry. I stuck my head out of the room to see them all going towards the outside. Was this a drill or something?
I ran to find someone from the crew. While doing that, Sabine ran into me. "I'm so glad I found you!" she exclaimed.
"I was just looking for you." I told her. "What is going on?
"The Empire is coming," Sabine explained, "and I'm here to take your restraints off."
"What?!" I asked, a little bit nervous that this was going against Hera's orders.
"Hera knows and is fine with it." Sabine said.
I sighed in relief and let her unlock the cuffs. Immediately, I felt like my normal self again. It was as if all of my energy came back. I grabbed my lightsaber and ran out to the fight.
Ezra's POV
I stood at the front of the line with Hera. We had our weapons out, ready to fight the oncoming speeders racing towards us. There were about ten, all with two stormtroopers at a time.
I turned to Hera. "Why do you think they waited until now?"
Hera shrugged. "I don't know, but they can answer that for us."
I smirked. We were all pretty optimistic that we would beat them. I mean, they are just a bunch of stormtroopers who can't even aim correctly. We got this.
But, we would have easily had it if Sarah were able to fight. She could really help us. Besides, she's probably jealous that we were able to fight the Empire while she could still barely walk in a straight line while getting used to her contacts.
"I just wish Sarah could fight." I told Hera.
She smiled for some reason. I was very confused until someone tapped my shoulder. I turned to see Sarah standing right next to me. She smiled. "Did you really think I would miss all the fun?"
I smiled. It was good to have her back. But...
"What about your powers?"
She held up her wrists. The cuffs were gone. I turned to Hera. She nodded. She let her take off the cuffs. "This isn't permanent, though," Hera explained, "just until her Force balances out."
I nodded. I knew Hera wouldn't want to upset everyone, so having them come off periodically is for the best.
I looked back towards the speeders. They were about a mile out, but with there being almost nothing around us, it is pretty easy to see far away.
Sarah and I turned on our lightsabers and crouched down behind a few large rocks surrounding the base. A few other pilots came behind other rocks, but most of them were stationed in front of the base.
I signaled to Sarah to encircle them when they arrive. She nodded; it was nice to be able to just signal to her instead of speaking through the Force.
The speeders slowed down about 50 feet in front of us. They fired at us...
And the fight began.
I know it is short, but the next one will definitely be longer.
