Ezra's POV
I just stared at Sarah through the window, watching her lay still as a statue. Her breathing was normal, but there was still that fear from everyone that she would wake up and just be the same as before: completely evil.
People were finally allowed back into the base, but they were skeptical whether or not it was actually safe to come back in. After all, she did have the intention to kill us all.
No, she didn't. Dark Sarah did. Sarah would never do that.
But, they are in the same body. Maybe there is no difference between the good and the bad.
No, snap out of it, Ezra. You know Sarah. The two are not the same. There is just a really evil being inside of her that nobody can control except for a scar that is on the both of us.
Not strange at all.
Sarah's POV
I opened my eyes really slowly. Of course, I saw nothing but red, but the light still stung to look into. I tried to sit up, but my ribs instantly regretted it. They stung so hard that I could barely breathe. I laid back down, remembered to breathe, and tried to figure out where I was. I must have been really weak because I could barely figure out where I was. I heard a monitor next to me, so I was assuming I am in the base.
I decided to swing around and just adjust to sitting up. But, when I tried to move my legs around, they were bolted into place. I tried kicking out of it, but they wouldn't budge. I was stuck there.
Quickly, I realized that my hands were cuffed, too. They were attached to the bed, as well.
I sighed and immediately felt regret. What did I do? All I remember was going into some vision, and now I'm here.
I tried using the Force to get out of the cuffs, but it wouldn't work. Why?
A door opened. I tried to sense who it was, but I couldn't even tell where they were.
The voice easily gave it away. "Hey, Sarah."
"Hey, Ezra. Where are we?"
I heard his footsteps come closer. "We're still on the base. You feeling okay?"
"I don't know," I answered honestly, "I can't even sense where you are. Hard to breathe, too. Other than that, peachy."
I heard him hold in a small laugh. I smiled. At least I brought in into spirits.
Of course, those feelings never last long. Ezra asked, "What do you remember from yesterday?"
"Nothing much," I said, "all I remember is going into some vision, and now I'm here. Wait... yesterday?" I started to get worried. "How long was I—"
"You were evil for about an hour." Ezra finished.
Now I could barely breathe. I felt like I was having a panic attack. How on Earth did he pull me out of it after that long of turning?!
Ezra seemed to understand and placed his hand on my arm. He sent soothing waves through me, which really helped. I sighed. "Thanks."
He patted my shoulder. "And before you ask," he continued, "no, you didn't hurt anyone. You've pretty much been asleep for 12 hours."
"What happened?" I asked, sort of afraid to hear the truth.
"Well," he said, "you became evil, Hera called everyone outside and put the place on lockdown, and Hera and I stayed to find you. As it turns out, our scars that we got when we were younger causes the Dark You to weaken. You came back to normal and passed out seconds later. Now, you are here."
