Ezra's POV

I slowly woke up in yet another cell, this time strapped to a table. I could barely move anything. The most I could move was my head just enough to see the door open, revealing the hideous face of Vader.

I wanted to smirk at the fact that he lost to Sarah, but I didn't have time before he turned on his lightsaber and made a huge gash in my right arm. I yelped at the pain, but even that was not as bad as what he did next.

He used the Force and started destroying my brain. I screamed so loud that I thought I would shatter the glass eye holes that Vader had.

Through the screams, I barely heard him say, "You will not be as resistant as your sister. I will break you, one way or another."

I continued to scream, for the pain was unbearable. My mind was being twisted and torn apart.

I physically couldn't take it anymore. I yelled to him, "Please, stop!! I'll do what you want! Make it stop!!!"

In a matter of seconds, the pain vanished. I was breathing heavily, barely able to see through my teary eyes.

I looked at about where I thought Vader was and asked, "Why do you need me?"

Vader knelt next to me and breathed, "I need you to complete the prophecy."

Sarah's POV

Everyone was either in a ship or on a speeder. All of the rebels lived, thankfully, but we had to travel somewhere else since the Empire found our base. I sat on a speeder with Sabine on the wheel.

I looked down at my wrists. I had the cuffs back on from after using the Force so much in the previous fight. I felt weak-- I could really feel the bruises from the battle now-- but not horrible.

Well... actually.... I did feel horrible. We didn't save Ezra. Now, Vader has him for whatever evil scheme he was trying to get from me.

What could it be? I could tell that he was trying to make me turn, but why did he need Ezra?

Wait a minute...

The Prophecy. I had completely forgotten all about it!

One shall die by the other's hand.
Their death will be the death of the killer.
Neither can live if the other is dead.

Vader was trying to complete the Prophecy. He's trying to turn Ezra evil!

At that moment in time, I wanted nothing more than to jump off of that speeder, grab a ship, and fly right to Ezra. But, I should probably stay with the rebels. We have a better chance at saving Ezra with all of us than just me.

Suddenly, I felt a bone-freezing chill run through me. It was nothing like I had ever felt before. It was as if there was an emptiness in me, one that I hadn't felt since...

My parents died.

Ezra. He was either dead...

Or turned to the Dark Side.

Oh, Ezra. Please don't tell me he broke you. I tried to send to him. But, I felt no response, not even an attempt at one.

In one way or another, he was gone.

Maybe this Prophecy would end...

Not in the way anyone wanted it, though.

Dark vs. Light.

The Empire vs. Rebels.

Brother vs. Sister.

Whatever it ends up to be, this would be one battle for the ages.

Yay!! I got a ranking!

It isn't a huge one, but I had just never gotten anything like this before. Thank you so much, readers, for sticking through this series with me. It has been an amazing adventure.

And don't worry, the big fight is soon to come...
