I spent my whole day with my mum, visiting New York and chilling at my appartement. Going around New York was my favourite activity and I never had time to do it anymore, so this was a nice change.
As much as I was having an amazing day, happy to actually feel normal again and spending time with my mum, I couldn't help this feeling of sadness anchored in my stomach. It was 8pm here and I still hadn't received a message from Ash.
"This is stupid" I thought to myself, sitting on my couch alone. "Maybe he is just too busy" although all the over boys had been texting me all day so I was confused.
Maybe he just forgot. It happens a lot. It doesn't matter anyways. This is my day and I'm not going to let this get me down.
Sitting up from the couch, I decided to go and fill my glass of wine back up. Finally I could actually go out and buy wine legally.
My mum had left an hour or so ago. She had to catch her flight back to Paris to be ready for work tomorrow, so I was alone at home.
A knock resonated on my front door, which startled me because I wasn't expecting anyone and security wouldn't let anyone come up unless I had granted access.
I stood up and made my way to the door. After unlocking and opening it, I found myself face to face with a familiar Aussie drummer, hands filled with roses.
I didn't waste a second before jumping in his arms and hugging him tightly. He didn't seem to mind however, as he wrapped his own armes around me, pulling me even closer.
"God I missed you so much" He mumbled into my hair.
"I missed you too. I thought you had forgotten my birthday" I laughed, still in his arms.
"Of course not! I managed to get out of a couple of interviews for the next few days because I wanted to suprise you. I landed like 2 hours ago"
"We should probably go in, my neighbours will start gossiping otherwise" I suggested. He gently put me down on the ground and picked up his suitcase which was hidden behind him.
We both made our way inside. As I shut the door, Ashton pulled me into another hug. God I loved this feeling. He felt like home.
"So I have a bit of a problem" Ashton broke the silence, stepping back.
"Hmm?" I questioned, still a bit dazed by his presence.
"Well it was kind of an impulse decision, me coming here. And I kinda forgot to book a hotel" Ashton scratched his neck awkwardly. "I could probably find one now but you'll have to give me the n-"
"No it's alright you can stay with me!" I interrupted, sounding a bit too eager. "I mean only if you want to. If you don't, it's fine"
"I was hoping that you would say that" Ashton said, smiling down at me. "By the way, happy birthday babe"
