Ashley's POV

"Hey Thea?" I called as she was tidying up her living room.

"Yeah?" She answered, looking back up at me briefly. She never held eye contact for long anymore. But that fleeting look was enough for me to see the tiredness and the sadness in her eyes. I wished I could do something more to make her feel better.

"Listen, don't get mad but I've got a letter for you" I placed the letter in her hands "I didn't talk to him, I don't know what's in the letter, but he begged me to give this to you."

"This is from Ashton" she took my silence for a yes "Oh."

She stared at the letter in her hands as if it were a mystery.

"I know this isn't about me, and it's not my place to say this, but I think you should read it. You don't have to do it now or when I'm here, but I think you should at least listen to what he has to say. Because I know Ashton, Alithea. And I know that he would never ever hurt you willingly like that. And I also know that you'll come to regret it if you don't read it." I let out, worried about her reaction.

She gently looked up from the letter and her eyes met mine finally.

She didn't say anything else made her way to her bedroom with the letter, and shut the door.

I sat myself down on the sofa and hopped for the best.
