"Have you always been like that?"

"Like what?"

"You know, like that--inlove. Have you always been inlove?"

Jennie chewed her lip in thought as she stared at her bestfriend, her fingers absentmindedly fiddling with the ring on her finger. She wrinkled her nose and she pursed her lips in thought, wondering how she'd explain this thing about her.

Yes, she was inlove. Most particularly with this girl sitting beside her, staring at her with intense curiosity.

"Yes, I guess?"She answered meekely, lifting her head up to look back at her."Why do you ask?"

"Nothing,"she replied, smiling softly at her."It's just that...I don't know, you look even more beautiful when i see you like that. In love."

"Funny, you know who i love."

She laughed as she nudged her knee gently, her eyes squinted in happiness. Jennie looked up at her intently, her lips quivering as she tried her best not to laugh with her though she failed miserably.

There was something about this girl, the one seated before her that makes her heart beat twice as fast and make it stop altogether. She pondered on her question, the thought lingering heavily on her thoughts.

When did she fall inlove with her anyway?

There were probably a thousand reasons for her to fall inlove with her. She was, as it was, the most appealing and charming girl she'd ever find. She was funny, smart and caring. She was also the kind of girl she didn't need to worry about bringing home to her father, even though her father will disagree about this same sex relationship of theirs, she was the girl who is tough enough to approach him on her own and fight for their love. She knew she fell for her, for all the cute and adorable things that she'd done for her, for all the surprises that she has pulled off, for all the happy little things she does for her just  to brighten her day.

She'd fallen inlove with her yet...she thinks, no, she knows she always  loved her.

And it probably always has been, even the first time they met, even when they barely knew anything about each other and even when they became bestfriends. There was something about her, something about the way her heart just seemed to jump the moment their eyes met that made her wonder, maybe she always loved her.

Maybe in another lifetime.
Maybe in another love story

Maybe she always loved her, in some ways.

It was in the way her mind wanders towards her the moment she wake up, thoughts of her filtering through her mind so early in the morning. It was in the way she worried about her, the way her hand feels against her skin even she felt cold, clammy and unwell. It was in the way she opened herself up to her, even going as far as being her bestfriend despite the fact that love may or may not be in their cards.

She always love her, even so and quite possibly, even if she hadn't fallen for her.

She stared back at her, her eyes lingering on her face as she reached up to stroke her fingers against her cheek.

"Hey."

"Hmm?"

"You've been lost in thoughts for a minute. What's in your mind?"

Jennie smiled."Nothing..Can i ask you a question?"

"Go."

"When did you fall for me....Lisa?"

Lisa's lips quirked into a smile as she looked at Jennie intently, her fingers busily drumming against her thigh. Her cheeks were, flushed as she cleared her throat, cocking her head to the side.

"I don't know really--like, i don't remember the first time I've fallen inlove with you."

Jennie frowned."Okay,"

"Probably because i know i fall inlove with you every single day."

Jennie narrowed her eyes at Lisa. And Lisa grinned, pressing her lips on the back of Jennie's hand.

"I don't know Jen, i probably fell inlove with you the moment i met you."

Jennie snorted."We met over a decade ago and you didn't even know me,"

"So did you,"Lisa countered, squeezing Jennie's hand softly."But maybe that was it. That i fell in love with you even before i knew i loved you."

And Lisa knew that it was a possibility for her to fall inlove with someone who barely knew who she was. She always been the kind of girl who believed in destiny, fate and all the workings of the universe, and she knew that quite possibly this is where their lives intertwined.

"Cheesy,"Jennie mumbled, and Lisa laughed pulling Jennie closed to her."Very cheesy."

"But true,"Lisa said, nodding in agreement."And maybe--i don't know--maybe we'd still find our way together in whatever lifetime we may live"

"Do you really believe in that?"

"Yes,"Lisa murmured, gently lifting Jennie's left hand. The rings on Jennie's finger glittered brightly under the sun, the facels streaking light against her skin."And i'll probaby marry you over and over again, in whatever lifetime it may be."

"Oh you poor soul, trying to keep up with me all this time."

"That's how much i love you, even if you're crazy over and over in ever lifetime we have."

Jennie laughed as she shook her head, crawling over to Lisa as she took over Lisa's space. Lisa gladly opened up her arms for Jennie, her hands resting against Jennie's hips as Jennie wrapped her hands around Lisa's neck, staring intently at her.

"Lisa?"

Lisa looked up to her bestfriend--her wife a hand reaching out to tuck a stray hair behind Jennie's ear. Jennie smiled, leaning her cheek against Lisa's palm, the cold metal of Lisa's wedding ring pressed against her skin.

"What?"

"I've always loved you, you know,"she whispered softly, meeting Lisa's gaze."I've always loved you, even before i fell inlove with you. And i guess that's something that you should know...That i would gladly fall in love over and over with you, but i'm always going to be here loving you...forever"
