Jennie was the first person who greeted her.

It was one rainy afternoon in August, when Lisa first moved in her new apartment. She brought too many boxes considering how small her place was. Lucky for her, Jennie's apartment was just right across the hall.

Jennie just got back from the supermarket when she was greeted by the new girl who will occupy the empty room across from her. The last person who lived here was a retired teacher who was a sweet lady who always lend her food. As far as she knows, there were no current takers considering the air conditioning have some problems that's why she was surprised to see a girl struggling to balance the boxes from her arms as she was trying to unlock the door with her keys.

"Uh, need help?"She says, surprising Lisa. What Lisa didn't expect is to see a girl about her age, carrying what seem to be a bag of groceries and god, she looked beautiful.

Now Lisa doesn't believe in love at first sight, but the way her heart stopped beating and the dryness of her mouth made her think otherwise.

Jennie raised her eyebrow, which made Lisa realized that she's been staring. Great! way to make a good first impression, Lisa thought.

"Uh, it's okay, i got this."Lisa said, being the independent person she was. She just don't want to accept help from other people, because she was always the helper not the one being helped.

"Are you sure? It looks like your boxes will fall anytime. You could've just put it down you know."Jennie pointed out. She didn't mean to sound rude but she can't help to be concerned for the new girl.

Lisa blushed furiosly in embarrassment. She just did what Jennie said and placed down the boxes. She unlocked the door once again using her key and finally, the door opened. She let out a sigh, then turned back to her.

"I got this."Lisa said, smiling at Jennie.

"Thanks to me."Jennie chuckled. "Anyways, welcome to the building."She said eyeing the boxes.

"Uh, Thank you."Lisa responded as she picked up her things again to put it inside her apartment.

"By the way, what's your na--"She stopped to see that the girl she was talking to was already gone.

I didn't even got to ask her name.

But Lisa just shrugged.

It's okay, i can meet her again anyway, She thought.

And they did.

Later that afternoon, Lisa finished putting all of her things in place. With a sigh, she plopped down on the couch and admire her new home.

She was contented with her life. She belonged to a supportive family, great friends, steady job and of course, modesty aside, her good looks. What more can she ask for? But still, there was an unexplainable feeling that something is missing. Or rather someone.

Sure, she dated few boys and girls way back then, but that was in highschool. Now at 22, Lisa figured that there are so many things to prioritize first. Her love life can wait.

So she rented this apartment to have a good start and hopefully try to date again. She called her 'bestfriend' Jisoo to come over to her new apartment, and of course, Jisoo being Jisoo, can't help to seal her excitement. Jisoo was one of the many people who kept on pestering her to get a love life, alongside with everyone.
