CHAPTERS 1-9 were written as a story while YKS was on telecast. Thereafter all the chapters were written as all of us were missing YKS crazily. So actually there are two stories here. Just compiling it all here because I removed it from my blog.
I am a big admirer of Farhat Ishtiyaq, not just for the dramas that were made out of her work but for the seriously high-quality literary works to her credit. There are very few writers who have brought the experience of life caught between modernity and traditionalism in the third world, to life the way she has. Her characters, motivated by honor, search for dignity, truth and justice are larger than life and hugely inspiring. YAKEEN KA SAFAR maps the heroic life of Asfand and Zubiya. This is my humble dedication to that iconic literature.
