I arrived home and quickly did my homework. My mum and dad weren't due home until around 7 o'clock so I decided to go to the gym. I hadn't been in over a week which wasn't like me. I usually went at least two or three times a week, fitting it in between homework and after school revision sessions.

I changed into my gym clothes and text Cara asking if she wanted to come with me. I told her that I'd pick her up on the way. I grabbed a gym bag from my closet and threw in a towel and an energy drink from the fridge. I picked my car keys off the side and went to my car. People always complement me on my car and say how nice it is, which don't get me wrong, it is, but I knew when my parents got it for me it was just another present to keep me happy. I mean, you don't randomly just buy your child an Audi R8 Spyder; they were clearly on a major mission to keep me happy. I didn't ask for it, I was shocked when they told me they'd got it. I guess that's when I realised how much money they were willing to spend on me, even though I hate it when they do it.

I pulled up outside Cara's house and waited for her to come out; she was running late like normal. I hadn't spoken to Ashton since last night so I wasn't sure if we were still setting Luke and Cara up. I wasn't sure if I should mention anything to Cara just in case Ashton wasn't being serious. I didn't want to cause unnecessary drama.

Cara finally appeared at her front door also wearing gym clothes, although hers were a lot more revealing than mine. Her tight gym kit was accompanied with a pair of massive sun glasses.

"Hey," Cara said loudly over the noise from my car radio.

"Hey," I shouted back, I turned down the volume so I could hear Cara better.

"You car needs a wash," Cara joked as she got in the seat next to me. This was an ongoing joke between Cara and I. Ever since my parents got me my car, I've always kept it clean; on the inside and the outside. I can't help it. The car's white, I don't want it looking dirty. Most of the time I get Matt and James to wash it because I don't like doing it myself.

"Feel free to wash it for me," I smirked.

"I'll pass on that," Cara giggled as she put on her seatbelt. She was in a much better mood than she was the other day.

I drove to the gym with my music louder than a lot of people appreciated but who wouldn't on a warm summer day. The roar from the car's exhaust also drew people's attention to us but we were used to it by now. I was always getting boys whistling at me, most of the time because they found my car more attractive than me which didn't bother me. I rather be that way.

I finished my mini work out on the cross trainer and joined Cara on the treadmills. She had her earphones in and was concentrating so I tried not to distract her. I started running when out of the corner of my eye I saw someone get on the treadmill next to me. I didn't pay much attention until I felt someone poke me in the side. I quickly turned to face whoever it was.

"Oh my god, Ashton," I was surprised to see him. I hadn't meant to say it out loud but it was too late.

"Hey rich kid," he said as he began running.

"I had no idea you came here," I slowed down the speed of the treadmill to a leisurely jog so I could actually hold a conversation with Ashton without being totally out of breath.

"I have a part time job in the bar downstairs and I get free gym membership, so I try to make the most of it," he laughed. I was actually surprised that Ashton came to a place like this. It was a posh hotel that people stayed in for business meetings but it also had a bar, spa and gym. This place was usually full off stuck up, snobby people, not people like Ashton.
