I woke up the next morning on Luke's sofa. I was grateful I got the sofa because Cara was on the floor. I was surprised she wasn't in Luke's bed.
I climbed off the sofa and made my way into the kitchen to get a drink. My throat was drier than a desert but at least I didn't have a hangover. My body must be getting used to my drinking habits.
After searching through near enough every cupboard in Luke's kitchen, I finally found the glass cupboard. I ran the tap until the water was cold then filled my glass. I lent against the kitchen island as I took gulps of my drink. I couldn't really remember much about last night, just Luke being an emotional wreck because he couldn't find Cara.
"Morning," a voice came from behind me, on the other side of the kitchen island, causing me to jump.
"Oh my god, don't do that," I gasped, putting my spare hand on my heart, showing that I was shocked.
"Sorry," Calum chuckled. "Did you have a good night?"
"Yeah, it was great. How's Luke?"
"What do you mean?" Calum asked, he looked confused. He obviously didn't see what state Luke was in last night.
"He couldn't find Cara. He was really panicy about it," I explained.
"Oh," Calum said quietly. "Well, I've got to get home so I'll see you later,"
"Bye," I said quickly, waving to Calum as he left the kitchen. He seemed to be in a rush which was really unlike Calum. He was usually the slowest person. He was like the snail of the group.
I finished my water, rinsed the glass and placed it on the draining board before heading back into the lounge. I could hear the shower upstairs so I guessed that Luke was awake but there was still no movement from everyone else.
I could see my shoes on the other side of the room so I dodged Cara's body to go and get them. She was sleeping like a starfish which wasn't making it easy for me. She had lipstick all over her face and she looked a complete mess.
I picked up my shoes as Luke walked in, only a towel around his waist.
"Erm, hi," I chuckled.
"Oh, sorry. I thought you were Cara," Luke laughed awkwardly. He scratched the back of his head as I dodged Cara again to get back over to the other side of the room.
"At least you're not crying now," I joked as I made a pile of my things on the sofa.
"Don't even talk about it," Luke rolled his eyes. "I'd drunk a lot. Too much. I never cry,"
"I think that was like a year's worth of tears you cried last night," I laughed, trying to wind Luke up.
"Nobody hears about this rich kid," Luke started as he walked out of the room and up the stairs. "Nobody!"
I laughed to myself at how embarrassed Luke was about crying. Shame I'd already told Calum, and Calum would probably tell Michael and I wasn't going to keep this from Ashton. Speaking of Ashton, I still hadn't seen him this morning.
Ashton clearly wasn't downstairs and I didn't want to go upstairs to look for him; he isn't five. He can look after himself.
I sat on the sofa and waited for Cara to wake up. Her hair was stuck to her face and she didn't look comfortable on the floor at all.
I started to daydream when I saw a figure pass by the doorway. All I saw was a flash of coloured hair so I knew it was Michael. I got up and walked into the hallway to find Michael putting on his shoes.
"Hey," I said loud enough for him to hear me but not too loudly, I didn't want to wake Cara.
Michael continued to put on his shoes, completely ignoring me.
