Rebels

Emerald flew his ship as fast as he could, as he didn't want to get caught up by the rebels.

E: "Opal! They're catching up on us!"

Opal was Emerald's guide. She gave him directions and advice in situations like these. She was never with him, only digitally, on a screen.

O: "Canalize the ship to East, sharp. There should be something you can hide behind. No, wait. Do you see that blue planet?"
E: "Yep. That's where I'll land?"
O: "If you want to keep your ship functioning, yes."
E: "Right."

Emerald headed his ship towards the blue planet.

E: "Stars, why didn't I update my defense system?"
O: "I told you many times that you should."
E: "I know!"

Emerald flew down to the planet's surface, only to notice it was just a huge ocean.

E: "Opal."
O: "My bad. I forgot your ship is the old version."
E: "I'll take that as an insult."

The rebels behind them were shooting rockets at Emerald's ship. None of them hit it, luckily, but they didn't have time to waste.

E: "Opal your screw-ups will have a high price if we won't get outta here soon!"
O: "I know, I know. Fly up. I'll find you a hiding place."
E: "It'd be nice if I didn't have to hide everytime, but I could fight."
O: "You could if you upda-"
E: "Shut up, I know."

Emerald piloted the ship upwards, and so they were out from the planet's atmosphere. The rebels were getting closer, and so they shot. This time Emerald wasn't as lucky as a while ago, as his ship's rear got shattered into a million pieces. He wasn't able to fly anymore. Emerald had never panicked this much.

E: "AAH! OPAL !!"
O: "Panicking won't solve anything. Get out of the ship, I'll send you auxiliaries."
E: "Do you honestly just expect me to leave my ship like that?"
O: "Would you rather get shattered?"
E: "N-no..?"
O: "Get out."

Emerald shattered the windscreen with an emergency hammer, and got out from his ship. He was holding his tears back as he saw the condition of his ship. He was now flowing in the nothingness of space.
One of the rebels got out from their ship. It was a Rhodochrosite, a fusion. Emerald had never seen a fusion of two different gem kinds, so he let out a gasp. He tried 'swimming' away from the Rhodochrosite, but she had rockets in her boots, which gave her speed.

R: "Hey, don't try to escape anywhere."
E: "What else do you expect me to do ?! Stop being loyal to my Diamond and start serving you- you, heathens ?!"
R: "Just come here. I don't need any of your outbursts, brat. I'll poof you if you don't do as I say."

Emerald gave up and went into their ship, Rhodochrosite following him.
There was three gems. A Hot Pink Topaz, an Amethyst, and a Howlite. Emerald was in shock.

E: "Y-you're the gems who blew up my ship ?!"
Howlite: "Oh, that was nothing. I can fix it in no time. But I won't, since you're stuck with us now."
E: "Wh-what ?!"
Amethyst: "Come on, guys. You promised that we wouldn't scare them unless they attacked."
Hot Pink Topaz: "Well I certainly didn't like their reaction."
A: "What do you expect? We just blew up their ship and kidnapped them."
E: "It's actually 'he'-"
R: "Talk about kidnapping, I bet someone sent help for him, so we should hurry up before our ship looks like his."
E: "Hey-!"
H: "I'll drive to the other galaxy. Earth is most probably the safest place to go."
E: "Earth ?! But that's so far away-"
HPT: "That's the point. You won't be found."

Emerald began to panic once more. Howlite began to pilot the ship towards Earth.
They had already left before the auxiliaries came. Topaz flew the ship next to whatever was left of Emerald's ship. She stepped out of her ship and went to Emerald's. After looking around for a while, she realised that Emerald had left, or worse. Topaz quickly went back to her ship, and notified the authorities. She had no clue where he disappeared, but she was sure that he would be soon found. For sure.
