Mr Strawberry

Emerald saw Jules listening to a song on a BoomBox, on the backyard of the hall. He was dancing to the beat, which Emerald enjoyed quite a lot. Jules was facing the other direction so he didn't see Emerald following his dance. Should I join? I mean, he might want to do it alone but a try wouldn't hurt, would it?? He thought to himself. Suddenly Jules turned around and asked;

J: "Do you want to join?"
E: "Uh, sure."

Emerald smiled awkwardly. He ran up to Jules. Jules danced a little slower, so Emerald could catch up. Emerald began to understand what to do, but it took him some time. Jules looked like he had done this for quite sometime, since his moves were on point.
They played the same song over and over. They had danced for quite sometime, then Jules stopped. He was sweating.

J: "Ugh, sorry this one is tiring me out a little. Can I change the song?"
E: "The song? But I don't know the dances to any other songs-"
J: "You'll learn them just as quickly as the earlier one. I'd say this other one is even a little easier."
E: "Is that so? I suppose we could try it out, then."

Jules changed the disc. The music began to play. Emerald liked this song as well. It wasn't much different, but the tempo was much slower.
And so they danced. Emerald learnt the dance quickly, since it was so slow. Jules looked at Emerald.

J: "Here comes the duo part. Are you ready?"
E: "Yeah!"

Jules took Emerald's hands. They spinned around, then they just continued to dance while holding hands. Soon the spinning part came again, and Emerald took Jules to a tight hug. In the middle of the move, their physical forms began to merge together, forming a fusion. Ammolite.

Ammolite looked around in shock, while the music was still playing. He breathed quite heavily, as this was the first time fusing for the both of his components. He looked at his hands, then at his cape, then he sat down, and began to think what just happened. He turned the music off.
Hey hey hey, no need to worry! This is a totally normal gem thing! Jules thought, while Emerald was having a mental breakdown, which caused Ammolite to unfuse. Emerald looked at Jules for a second, then began to scream, and run around. Jules was smiling very widely. He stood up and ran towards the hall.

J: "Moonstone! Howlite! I just f-"

Emerald covered his mouth.

E: "No no no no. We won't tell anyone about this!! This never happened!"
J: "But it did! We have to tell, and show them!"
E: "Oh, in the holy name of Yellow Diamond, we won't! This is a disaster!"
J: "Why?"
E: "Because-..! Uhm.."

Jules frowned at him.

J: "Because you're a Homeworld gem? Is that it?"
E: "Well... yes..."
J: "I thought you were a crystal gem! You still want to go back?"
E: "Oh stars no! I can't go back!"
J: "Then what are you so hesitant about? Let's just tell the others already!"
E: "But I won't promise to fuse."
J: "Fine."

The two walked into the hall, where the other gems were chatting with eachother. Emerald became incredibly anxious.

J: "Hey everyone! I and Emerald-"

This was a bad idea. This was a bad idea. This was a bad idea, Emerald thought to himself as he saw at the others look at him and Jules.

J: "-which caused me and Emerald to fuse! Emerald panicked a lot but I think it was really cool! The fusion's name is Ammolite!"
HPT: "You can fuse?"
P: "That sounds awesome!! Can you show Ammolite to us?"
J: "Of cour-"
E: "No!"

Everyone seemed pretty shocked.

E: "No, we can't show Ammolite. It was horrible! I'm never going to fuse again!"

Emerald ran away. Jules looked embarrassed, and perhaps a little sad as well. Labradorite rolled their eyes.

L: "I knew he was untrustworthy."
P: "Just because he doesn't want to fuse, doesn't mean that he's not a crystal gem!"
L: "Ehh, it kinda does. I mean, we want fusions to the war. Not cowards like him."
HPT: "Don't talk of him like that. He saved you earlier, didn't he? He's not a coward."
L: "The Homeworld ship wouldn't have come if it wasn't for him. He probably told them his location."
F: "He wouldn't be here if we hadn't kidnapped him. This mess is technically our fault."
L: "It's not."
HPT: "Stop it! Everything just happened to go this way and nothing is no one's fault. Everything is okay as long as the Homeworld ships stay where they belong. In Homeworld."
L: "Well they know we're here so we're pretty screwed if I'm being honest."

When no one was looking, Jules ran away. He wanted to find Emerald, just to tell him that he's sorry. There was a huge field near the hall, and that's where Jules ran.

J: "Emerald! Emerald I'm sorry!"

He continued to run.

J: "Emerald!!"

He began to tear up a little.

J: "Sorry for making you go in front of everyone! I'm sorry for fusing with you! I'm sorry for- for everything!"

He continued to run, but stumbled across a rock, which he didn't notice in the tall hay. He fell on his knees, and burst to tears.

J: "I'm sorry!!"

He wiped his tears.

J: "Please hear me out! I-"

He saw Emerald just about five meters away from him. He was lying down, looking pretty blue.

J: "E-Emerald, I'm sorry."

Emerald didn't respond. Just sighed. Jules crawled next to him, and lied down.

J: "I'm sorry."
E: "It's okay."
J: "It's not! I-"
E: "No. It's okay."

Jules looked at him for a moment, then looked up at the sky.

E: "Should I go back to Homeworld?"
J: "Oh heavens no. You really shouldn't."
E: "Okay. I just thought because I heard the others say that I can't be a crystal gem if I won't fuse. And-and I feel really uncomfortable with fusing, so I felt like I didn't belong here. I belong in Homeworld."
J: "I'm really sorry you feel that way. I'm sure we have use for you here too. Or you can just hang out. It's completely your desicion."
E: "Yeah..."

Emerald sighed.

E: "I'm sorry for all the hassle."
J: "It's okay."
