Rebellion

The Trip

Rhodochrosite summoned her weapon; a hammer with spikes. Black Pearl also summoned her weapons, the blades. She began to throw them at Rhodochrosite at a fast pace, but she managed to avoid all of them. She ran up to Black Pearl and hit her with the hammer, but of course she was too fast for her. The fight continued like this for quite sometime, but Rhodochrosite was fast enough to land one hit on Pearl. Black Pearl flew a couple of meters, and then landed onto the ground. Rhodochrosite chuckled a little.

R: "Are you going to give up now, or-"

Rhodochrosite made a mistake by letting her guard down as Black Pearl threw a blade at her, which went straight through her. She poofed.
Hot Pink Topaz gasped, as she saw her ally's gems fall onto the ground. Emerald had seen enough.

E: "Pearl."

Black Pearl gave him a glare.

E: "Leave me here. I don't want to see anyone get hurt anymore."
BP: "But my mission is incomplete."
E: "I don't care. Just go. Please."

Black Pearl looked at him for a moment, but then nodded, and ran off back into her ship.
Hot Pink Topaz looked down at him.

HPT: "I didn't expect you to do that, if I'm being honest."
E: "I didn't have another choice. I'm sure that I'll get back to Homeworld on a way or another."
HPT: "Hm."

Hot Pink Topaz picked up the Cherry Quarts and the Red Coral from the ground, and untied Emerald from the vines. She began to walk back to the ship, Emerald following her.

E: "Did you take Howlite and Amethyst?"
HPT: "They're at the ship, but they need some time to recover. You'll be our pilot now."
E: "R-really?"

She nodded. They got back to the ship. Emerald sat onto the pilot's seat and sighed. He looked at Amethyst's and Howlite's gems, which were on a soft pillow. Hot Pink Topaz placed Red Coral and Cherry Quarts onto the pillow, before sitting down on a seat. Emerald began to fly the ship upwards, and so their way to Earth continued. The trip lasted for 10 more hours, before they reached the solar system Earth was located in. Hot Pink Topaz told him where to go, and so he landed the ship to their base. Emerald was a little nerveous. He hadn't visited Earth in hundreds of years, and he was always anxious when he did.
There was lots of gems. Emerald didn't recognize any Crystal Gems though. Garnet, Pearl, Rose Quarts or the defective Amethyst. He was relieved.
What he saw, was a pezzotsite, a human-gem hybrid, a moonstone, a snowflake obsidian, and a labradorite. He smiled a little. He opened the door outside. A long set of stairs began to build itself from the door to the ground. Hot Pink Topaz walked down the stairs with the pillow in her hands. Emerald followed.

HPT: "Hello everyone! We're back!"
Pezzotsite: "Oh! Finally! I've been waiting for you with excitement!"

Hot Pink Topaz chuckled.

Labradorite: "You brought only one gem?"
HPT: "Yes, there wasn't much traffic. Getting only him into our ship was a drag."
L: "How disappointing."

Labradorite rolled their eyes and crossed their arms.

Fleck (aka snow obsidian): "Don't complain. You should be glad that we got even one gem."
L: "Whatever."
E: "You're talking about kidnapping gems like it's a business."
F: "Well it kind of is. We need a lot of gems for the second gem war."
E: "It's not going to go well if getting only one of White Diamond's assassins got four gems poofed."
Moonstone: "What? Four gems?"
HPT: "Well, three gems, in a sense. Rhodochrosite is a fusion."
M: "Oh no... Rhodochrosite is our strongest fusion! How are we going to win the war if she got poofed that easily?"
L: "Strongest? Don't make me laugh. I'm here too, you know? I could throw a thousand jaspers off the arena with my water powers."
F: "But you're useless without water."
L: "I-I'm... not."

Labradorite blushed in embarrassment. While Fleck and Labradorite were arguing, Emerald's focus slowly shifted to the gem-hybrid, who had been quiet the whole time.
He's a human but... still a ruby? How is that possible? That's even weirder than a fusion of two gem kinds! he thought.
Emerald was too awkward to start a conversation with him, so he decided to wait for later.

After a couple of hours, everyone had calmed down from all the hassle. Hot Pink Topaz decided to show the base of the second Crystal Gems group to Emerald. The base was just a huge abandoned hall, but it was very nice looking since the gems had decorated it with what they had. There was a warp pad at the end of the hall. It seemed very small, so Emerald knew already that he wouldn't be able to warp back to Homeworld using it. In the evening, the human-gem hubrid whose name Emerald didn't know, went to sleep alongside with Pezzotsite and Hot Pink Topaz. Emerald stayed outside, looking at the sunset. He didn't expect everyone to be so accepting of his arrival. Just when he had finished that sentence in his head, Labradorite flew up to him.

L: "Hey, Homeworld gem."
E: "The name's Emerald. Weren't you-"
L: "Yeah, I'm Labradorite. A fusion. Does that make you uncomfortable, clod?"
E: "No, of course not. I've spent this whole day with fusions."
L: "Hm."

Labradorite retorted.

L: "Listen, I just want you to know that if you're going to report us to the diamonds, you're dead to me. Alright?"
E: "O-okay?"

Labradorite gave him a cold glare, before flying away. Emerald felt chills crawl up his back, as he continued to think about what just happened. He was a little upset that being friends with Labradorite was going to be difficult, but he was willing to work for it.
