As Emerald and Jules were lying down at the middle of the field, they suddenly began to hear noise from somewhere nearby. Jules stood up and gasped.

J: "I-it's a Homeworld ship!"

Emerald sat up. He seemed to act extremely calm, concidering that the Homeworld gems probably came here to take him or shatter him and the rebels. Jules took Emerald's hand and tried pulling him towards the base. Emerald did nothing, and dragging him all the way to the wall would be impossible.

J: "Come on!! We've got to go!"
E: "Let's just lay down. They won't notice us in the long hay."
J: "Are you crazy?!"
E: "Most probably."
J: "I'll have to poof you if you don't get up this inst-!"

Emerald pulled him down as the Homeworld ship's stairs began to slide down. Jules was panicking, as this was his first encounter with a Homeworld gem, if Emerald doesn't count.
A gem Emerald didn't recognize walked down the ship's stairs. A Lepidolite. They talked to their walky-talky thing, which they used to contact other gems in the ship. At least that's what Emerald predicted. They walked a little bit towards Emerald and Jules, but they were far enough to not hear nor see them. They started to put together a small robot. It was almost like a triangle, but the bottom was round. It started moving around in the field, with its red light scanning for gems.

J: "We're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're-"
E: "Not going to die. Just calm down."
J: "How do you expect me to do that!?"
E: "Shhhh."

Another gem walked out. Emerald saw her earlier. It was Rhodium.

RD: "Everything clear?"
Lepidolite: "So far, yes. I have to search deeper though."
RD: "Of course. The Crystal Gems are very likely to be nearby. Perhaps we'll also find the defective Emerald."

Emerald sat up.

E: "Defective?!"

Jules pulled him down.

J: "Shut up, we'll get caught!"
E: "J-Jules, am I defective?"
J: "You're not. You just know better now that you're a Crystal Gem."

Emerald wasn't sure if he believed that. A few seconds later, a bright red light blinded the two for a second. The machine had found them, and began to make noise now. It loaded its laser, but just before it shattered Emerald, Jules pulled him away.

J: "RUN!!"

They began to run away from the machine, and the ship. Rhodium and Lepidolite noticed them immediately.

RD + LD: "Rebels!!"

Rhodium ran back into the ship, alongside with Lepidolite, and so they began to chase Emerald and Jules.

E: "Jules, if this is the last time we talk, I just want to say that I'm sorry for being such a scaredy cat about the fusion thing! I really should've tried it out!"
J: "Oh, well, wanna try it out now?"
E: "Eh, uhm, okay! But we don't have time to dance!"
J: "I know!"

After a while of running and planning out how they should form the fusion, they just said "screw it", and tried out running into eachother. And so they formed Ammolite. Emerald tried not to freak out, and so this fusion turned out okay. Ammolite ran out from the field, and to the base.

Ammolite: "Everyone!! The Homeworld gems are here! Take out your weapons!"

Everyone panicked for a second, but then squared up and took their weapons, preparing for a battle. The Homeworld ship came quick, and landed in front of the hall. The stairs didn't slide down this time, but a door opened up, and all the gems ran out with their weapons in hands.
Vermarine, Imperial Topaz, even the pearls; Black Pearl and Sroundspoon came rushing out of the ship. They formed a line in front of their ship. Then Rhodium stepped out. Her steps were very heavy, and the boots that she wore looked like they could shatter many gems with only one kick.

RD: "Hello, rebels. Or, Crystal Gems, or whatever. Were not here to necessarily fight, so lower your weapons. I'm sure you all know who we're looking for."
P: "We're not going to give Emerald to you! He doesn't want to come back!"
R: "Shh, Pez. Let's settle this calmly."

Rhodochrosite looked at Rhodium. Disgust was shown on Rhodium's face. She could barely look at Rhodochrosite, because of her features. Those features were her third eye and her two gems. Fusion. There were many at the base. Labradorite, Pezzotsite, Ammolite. Ammolite!
Emerald fused?? Oh God. I never believed a high class gem to... to do this! Thoughts were filling up Rhodium's mind. She could still stay focused to Rhodochrosite's stare, though.

R: "We really don't want this to turn into a fight. We won't give Emerald to you, since he's a Crystal Gem now. He does not want to come back."

Rhodium whispered something to Black Pearl. Pearl jumped up, straight to Ammolite. She put her cold hand onto his shoulder.

BP: "Unfuse or I'll make you."

She whispered to him. He thought for a while, then did as asked. Jules and Emerald were scared. Emerald a little bit more, as he was shaking all over.

RD: "Traitor."

Rhodium let out a tiny smirk. Labradorite shot boiling water at Black Pearl.

L: "Let go of them! No one's coming to Homeworld from here, you jerks!"

Vermarine summoned her whip and pulled Labradorite down. They couldn't move their hands so they couldn't shoot Vermarine as well.

V: "Shut up, you heathen! All of you are coming to Homeworld if you dare to attack us."
L: "Well how do you like this!"

Labradorite kicked Vermarine's feet, and it caused both of them to fall. Vermarine stopped holding onto the whip, so Labradorite could escape easily. They began to shoot at Vermarine, and the other gems in the line.

R: "Labradorite! Stop!"
L: "Let's just attack!! They won't leave without getting Emerald!"
P: "They've got a point!"

Pezzotsite summoned her nunchucks, and attacked. The Homeworld gems began to attack as well. So the battle began.
