Escape

Howlite was piloting the ship towards the Earth. It was a long way so they had to stay in the ship for quite sometime.

A: "So, uhm. How's life being a pilot? Does this happen often?"
E: "No, it doesn't. I mainly transport gems to planets where are no warp pads available. It's pretty boring usually."
HPT: "Then why don't you quit? It's so boring serving the Diamond Authority. The same routines over and over again. I can't believe how you can stand it."
E: "It's why I was made. Serving the Diamonds is the reason we exist. I don't understand how anyone would rebel against them."

Everyone was quiet for a moment.

HPT: "Nonsense."

She mumbled.

E: "Why did you kidnap me in the first place?"
R: "We want to get more gems on our side so maybe we can challenge the homeworld for one last time."
E: "W-what? That's impossible! You'll just get yourselves shattered!"
A: "Not if we have strong fusions and enough troops."
H: "Yeah! We'll wreck Homeworld and everyone will live in peace once and for all!"
E: "Oh my stars.."

Emerald couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was not only scared of what their plan will be, but only the thought of fusing made him uncomfortable. He would rather get shattered than betray Homeworld. It was his home. Serving the Diamond Authority and keeping Homeworld in balance was what he was made for. Leaving all of that behind would leave his existance without purpose.

After a while of flying, they were getting closer to the Milky Way. Everyone was getting a little impatient.

H: "Hey, guys? Could we take a break? I've been flying for like... five hours.."
A: "B-but we have no time to waste. There might be Homeworld gems after us because of him."
E: "Excuse me, this whole mess is because you kidnapped me."
HPT: "We're just doing what seems to be the best for everyone."

Emerald rolled his eyes. Howlite groaned.

H: "Let me reeeesstt..!"
R: "Howlite, you know well that you're the only one of us who can fly this ship."
H: "But Emerald can do it too!"
HPT: "He'll take us back to Homeworld. We can't let him fly."
A: "Maybe we should land on some random planet that looks like a good hiding place. Someone can guard that no one comes after us."
H: "Come on, come on, please! I'm so tired of flying!"
R: "Fine, but only for a brief moment. We don't have time to lose."

Howlite let out a sigh in relief. Flying the ship was really tiring her out. She landed the ship on a nearby planet, that looked like a good place to hide, concidering that it was full of vegetation. There was a huge hill next to where Howlite landed the ship. She thought, maybe chilling on that hill would give me some more energy. Everyone except for Emerald and Amethyst got out of the ship. Amethyst was making sure he wouldn't escape.
Howlite looked up at the sky.

H: "Woah it sure is hot in here. This would be the perfect place for a vacation."
HTP: "Certainly."

Howlite walked up the hill. She stopped right before the top, and laid down.

H: "Awe yeah. This is just what I needed. Hey you should come have a break too! This just what we all needed after this mess."
R: "We can rest once we get back on Earth."

Howlite shut her eyes and relaxed.

When no one was looking, a mysterious small ship landed about 300 meters away from them. It had the Diamond Authority logo on the top, and thanks to its small size, it didn't make much noise. A pearl stepped out. She had seen Rhodochrosite, Hot Pink Topaz and Howlite nearby the hill. But she didn't care about them. She only wanted Emerald to come back, since that was the order she was given. She continued to walk through the woods towards the place where the three were seen.

R: "Come on, Howlite. Let's go now."
H: "Awe. Alright then."

Howlite hopped up. But suddenly, she just poofed. Rhodochrosite's eyes widened up. Hot Pink Topaz ran up the hill and took Howlite's gem, and walked back down. Rhodochrosite looked around.

R: "What was that ?!"

Black Pearl put her blades down. She smirked, as she knew they were distracted now. She quietly walked to their ship's door, and looked in. Emerald and Amethyst were just sitting around, as they didn't have anything to talk about. Pearl walked in, and threw a blade at Amethyst.

Emerald gasped as he saw his guard get poofed. Pearl looked at Emerald.

BP: "It's time to go."
E: "A-are you from Homeworld?"
BP: "Yes. I was sent by your Opal. You seemed to get captured by the rebels."
E: "Y-yeah."
BP: "Come on, let's go before the fusions come after us."
E: "Right."

Emerald got up and followed Black Pearl to her ship. Before Emerald came in, a vine was wrapped around him, and he was pulled back from Black Pearl. Hot Pink Topaz kept him still, when Rhodochrosite prepared to fight.

R: "We aren't going to let go of him that easily!"

Black Pearl let out a long sigh.

BP: "Wouldn't you rather want to give him to me than get poofed?"
HPT: "No. He's one of us!"
BP: "Just because you said so?"
HPT: "Exactly."
BP: "Ugh, you rebels are dumber than I thought. Okay, let's fight then."
