~We Didn't Give Up~

It's been like 5 days since we got to New Zealand and the experience has been awesome, I just wish that my mind let me go the first couple days, all I could think about is colby not being with me forever, but now I'm fine. I sit on the couch in the RV as Elton drives to the last thing we are doing, of course, it's cliff jumping. All of the guys know that I'm terrified of hights, yet Elton forces me to do it somehow. Colby sits down next to me and I lay on his leg, he rests his arm on me and plays with my hair, "we're almost there, just remember, if you get too scared just come to me ok." He says, I nod and turn around, putting my hands out. "What." He says, I make grabby hands. "Give him a kiss." Corey says, I nod, colby picks me up and kisses me. "Can you talk to me instead of whine?" He asks, I don't know why I do that, I just do. "Yeah, kiss me." I say, he grabs my face and kisses me again, I giggle. "We're here children." Elton says sarcastically, we get out of the RV and go to the rocks. Once we get to the rocks colby climbs up with me and we stand at the edge. "You're doing it?" He asks, I look at him. "I don't know, it looks high." I say, colby grabs my hand and smiles. "Come on, I'll be here the whole time." He says, I walk away and sits down, colby comes running after me, Elton does a back flip off of the rocks. "Sam, I know you're scared, I'm not gonna lie, I am too, but don't you wanna just take the chance to live in the moment?" He asks. "I'm scared colby it's high." I say, he sits down and put his arm around me. "I know you're scared, just come on, take chances with me." He says, he grabs my hand and runs to the edge. I look down at the drop and become terrified, colby squeezes my hand. "Come on sam." He says, I take a deep breath and nod my head. "I'll hold your hand the whole time ok." He says, I nod and he counts down. "Go!" He says, we jump off, I scream as we hit the water, Colby laughs, I laugh. "See, it wasn't so bad, wanna go again?" He asks, I nod my head and we go back up. "Go!" He screams again, we jumps off backwards and our backs hit the water as we laugh. "This really is living beyond the normal." I say, we sit on the edge of the rock and look into the sky. "Yeah it is, to just think that we went from two lonely kids from Kansas with a bunch of enemies, to two kids living in LA completing anything we can think of with millions of people who look up to us." Colby says, I rest my head on his shoulder. "It's crazy, but.....life led us here." I say, he rubs my back. "How did we even get here, like we were literally nobodies." I ask, colby looks at me and plays with my hair. "Cause we didn't give up." He says, it was true though. "I could stay here all day with you." I say. "Me too." He says. "Hey lets go lovers we gotta get out of here." Elton says, we get up and we leave New Zealand, but I will always remember this day, because I found out that in order to conquer life, you just have to face your fears and live beyond the norm.

Just remember in order to pursue a dream, you continue to try without giving up.
