~I Feel Your Pain~

SAM
I sit on the couch wondering if I should get colby back for the prank he pulled on me. It was a hard decision because I know that he has had a rough life and without me he would be nothing, I'm his other half. The way I felt when he fell to the ground is a pain I can't describe, I'm totally ok now, just a couple nightmares and it's over, but I don't know how colby will react. Colby comes out and sits on the couch with me. "Colby." I say. "Yeah babe." He says, I look down at the floor. "What would you do if I wasn't here?" I ask, colby comes closer and wraps his arm around me. "Why do you ask." He asks, I didn't know what to say, I couldn't tell him about the prank. "Cause you know how I would feel." I say, mentally high giving myself for making something up on the spot. "Oh well, it would be a pain that is too hard to describe, you're my little koala bear, I can't live without you." He says kissing me, I smile, he has the same feeling I do, so I'm gonna pull the prank tonight. "Aww, you're too cute." I say, he lays his head down on my lap, I take the time to text our friend Elton to help me out with the prank.
Me:
I'm pulling a prank on colby I need your help.

Elton
Ok what's the prank?

Me:
It's a best friend/boyfriend murder prank, same thing he pulled on me just a little different so he believes it.

Elton
Oh ok, what time I gotta be there?

Me:
I'll come to your house, without colby obviously. What time should I come over.

Elton
Whenever is fine.

Me:
Ok I'll be over in like 20

Elton
Ok.

I put my phone down and play with
Colby's hair. "Hey, I'm gonna go get some food from Trader Joe's, I'll be home in like 30 minutes." I say, colby gets up and holds hands. "Ok, love you." He says pulling me into a kiss. "Love you too babe." I say, I grab my phone and I was out the door.

It's been about 20 minutes since I left and Elton and I have all of the stuff we need for the prank. It's 5:00 so I was just gonna take colby out for dinner, but before I left I told colby that there was a rumor about a murder being around the area, so he'll believe it, Elton is gonna take us back to the apartment and sit us on the rooftop and shoot me, simple. We drive back to the apartment and I walk in to get colby. "Colby were
Going out to eat get ready to go." I say, he get up and goes in our room to get dressed, I get the camera and start recording. "What's up guys, sam here, today I'm getting colby back for that murder prank he pulled on me a couple weeks back, I have Elton outside he gonna be killing me and colby is getting ready to go out to eat, I'm gonna have Elton stop us and bring us to the roof of the apartment so colby can watch me die, let's do this!" I whisper, colby comes out of the room and we were off.

"Were you serious about that rumor, cause I've been hearing stuff outside of the apartment all day." Colby says, I put my arm around him and nod. "Yeah I am totally serious Elton actually texted me about it earlier." I say, I could feel Colby's fear, I look behind me and see Elton, I wink at him and he walks behind colby slowly. He gets to him and I let go of his hand, Elton puts a bag over Colby's head and I help him tape it. "SAM HELP!" Colby yells, now I know how I sounded, scared and sad, I felt bad, but I went through with the rest. Elton and I grab him and go to the rooftop.

Once we get to the roof top Elton tapes my mouth shut, putting the
Bag on my head, I sit in silence as tears run down my face, colby is put in a chair and the bag is taken off of his head Elton walks away and grabs the gun. "Sam we're gonna be ok I can get us out of here." Colby says through tears streaming down his face. Elton comes back with the gun and points it as Colbys head, he looks at me. "Sam is this a prank please tell me it is." He says. I shake my head in tears, real tears, I was having flashbacks of how I felt. Colby cries more than I have ever seen him cry, the gun gets pointed at my head. "STOP NO WERE JUST KIDS, I CANT LOSE HIM!" Colby screams, the gun shoots and I fall to the ground, I hear colby try and catch his breath and cry harder every second, I try and hold back my tears. "Sam wake up please!" Colby says, I lay on the ground for another good minute. "SAM PLEASE." Colby screams, get up as he looks away and get the tape off of him. "STOP NO LEAVE ME ALONE!" He screams. "Colby colby it's
Ok it's me it's me I'm ok." I say, I take the tape off of his ankle and he jumps up and hugs me tighter than I hugged him when he did this to me. "I thought you died baby I can't lose you." Colby says through his tears, he buries his head into my shoulder and sobs, I do the same. "I'm sorry, I had to get you back, are you gonna be ok?" I ask, colby looks up and nods, he kisses me, I feel his tears run onto my face, we unhook. "I wanna go back." Colby says, I hug him again and wrap my legs around his waist, "Let's go then." I say, I tuck my head into his shoulder and we go back to the apartment. "I'm sorry colby, I love you." I say, colby looks at me and cuddles close to me. "It's ok, now I felt your pain, and now I'm calling a truce." He says, I rest my hands and his arms and close my eyes. "Are you gonna have nightmares now?" I ask. "I don't know but if I do will you be here for me?" He asks, I forgot that he had a rough past life, he probably never got affection when he had nightmares. "Yeah, I'll be the father figure you never had." I say, colby snuggles closer to me. "Ok, this is why I love you so much, because I know you care." He says, I flip over and let him crawl into my arms, he nuzzles his head into my chest and we fall asleep.
