“WILL!” I scream dropping the cake in my hands.
I haven’t seen Will for atleast 4 months. He came over to visit about Ryan and what he thought had happened. He told me he was sorry, and he really thought Ryan was no threat.
“Happy birthday!” He says squeezing me around my baby bump.
“Thanks!” He kisses my cheek and I hug him again.
“Have you guys opened presents yet?” He asks looking around at the frosting faces.
“Not exactly.” I laugh.
“Well, shall we?” He asks holding a big box infront of me.
“Mom?” I ask.
“Of course!” She laughs.
I find my way to the couch, and Josh sits close beside me.
“I’ll give you my present later.” He whispers into my ear before I pick up a present.
His hot breath on my ear sends tingles down my spine.
“Okay.” I kiss his cheek and pick up the present that’s closest to me.
“NO!” Says Mikai stomping his feet. “My present first!” He runs over to me and places a big red box in my lap.
“Okay, Mikai.” I laugh and start to peel off the wrapper.
“Faster!” He yells and helps me tear it off.
“It’s a camel!”
People start laughing and Mikai’s face reddens.
“Do you mean a camera?” I laugh and poke his belly.
“A camwa.” He smiles.
“Thank you, Mikai! I love it!” I hug his and place the box on the ground.
“This one!” Mikai holds up a small pink bag.
“Okay.” I take the gift and open the bag. I tear out the tissue paper and find a small locket.
‘I’ll Always Be Here’ it reads in fancy letters. I open the locket and find a picture of Kyla and I squeezing into the camera shot.
“Thanks Kyla!” I squeal.
I go through the presents and get a lot of clothes for after the babies come, some jewelry, some things for the new apartment and gift cards to stores.
“Here.” Mom hands me an envelope.
“What is it?” I ask shaking it, laughing.
“OPEN IT!” Mikai shouts.
I slip my nail through the top and pull out a pink piece of paper.
‘Congrats Bridgette! We’re so proud of you! With Josh graduating, and you being pregnant we thought you deserved this!’ At the bottom of the paper is a picture of palms trees and clear blue water.
“What?” I ask trying to figure it out.
“When you were a little girl, you always said how much you wanted to go to Cuba.” Mom starts off.
“Yeah, I remember.”
“Well.. Your dad and I organized a trip for you, Josh, and the babies in the summer.”
My jaw drops open, “What?!”
“We thought you deserved it.” She smiles. I jump up and give her a hug.
