One and a half year ago

Emma was a 20 year old, cheerful and sarcastic girl. She loved to make everyone smile, bake and dance. Her parents were murdered in front of her when she was 13 years old. Her grandparents took her in and since then she has been living with them. Although she is an adult and owns an apartment too but her grandparents wish that she stays with them. Her grandfather, Mr. Jones was diagnosed with cancer and died some years back. It was hard for them, but they fought against it and won.

Today, after coming from university, she had a chat with her grams and then went to the cafe to see how things were working out.

The day was tiring and finally Emma closed the shops and headed home. As she neared their house, she had a bad feeling in her gut, she knew better to trust her gut than anything and ran back home only to find her grandma in a pool of blood. Quickly, she called the police and the ambulance. She couldn't lose anyone else, not again.

The police investigated and her grandmother was taken to the hospital. The police found the criminal, a young boy, with the help of their camera footage.

Emma went to the hospital to find the heart shattering news that her grams had passed away mostly due to the fact that she had brain tumor and the hit had such an impact that she died. Emma was heartbroken and didn't know what to do. She felt like drowning herself, she also felt betrayed as her grams hid her disease from Emma.

The next day, a funeral was arranged and her friends and family were called. Later, the boy was arrested and he was in their custody. According to Emma's wish, she was informed and told to visit the next day.
