It was evening by now and Noah went to bed to take a nap, while Emma was reading in the living room. She was reading 'gone girl' and enjoying the weather.

After a while, she decided to go on a walk. She checked up on Noah to find him sleeping peacefully.

She wore her slippers and headed out in the woods, it was almost sunset and she didn't want to miss it.

Walking through the wind, she missed her grandpa, he was one noble man. He always lived up to his words and loved his family loads. Every summer, for a week he would bring young Emma to this place and they would relax and have fun.

The weather was chilly but she didn't mind at all, she wasn't far from her house and watched the sunset. New flowers were blooming, birds chirping in the sky, and her book in her hand. These things helped her relax.

"hey." A voice spoke from behind her; she jumped and put a hand on her heart.

She didn't recognize the voice and slowly turned to see a boy, about her age leaning against a tree. She smiled slowly and waved, "hi. I've never seen you before, what are you doing here?"

"I'm here for you. To meet you, I mean. I've heard a lot about you." His eyes glinted with something different as she stood up.

"I'm sorry? From whom?" she asked as her face scrunched up in confusion.

"Luke. Ring a bell?"

Her eyes widened, she looked at him, horrified.

"What? Ho- how di-d you find us?" she stammered out.

"Alex. Pretty boy was worried about you." He smirked.

"What did you do to him?!" she yelled. He stepped towards her and she backed away.

"Hmm... chained him up, tortured him, what do you think, Emma?"

She didn't want to believe any of it, tears sprang in her eyes as she controlled her heavy breathing.

"Noah!! Help!!" she screamed as loud as she could.

Luke glared at her and lunged at her tiny figure, comparing to hers.

He muffled her voice by putting a hand on her mouth as she struggled and fought.

"Wrong move, Emma. Wrong move." He muttered as she fell unconscious in his hands.

He removed the cloth from her mouth and picked her up bridal style.

He threw her in his car and started the engine.

He directed his other men to hide and wait for Noah.

"Noah!! Help!!" she screamed. He stirred awake from his sleep and sat up in his bed, rubbing his eyes. As soon as he registered the words, throwing off the covers from his body, he jumped out of bed and ran downstairs. He searched for Emma in the whole house and even checked the lake area. She was nowhere to be found.

His phone rang and his blood ran cold. He turned pale at the contact. Luke Dawson.

"My my Noah. Indeed, you have one beautiful girl. She's worth it. Sadly, she needs to die." He chuckled.

"You son of a bitch! What did you do to her?! Leave her out of this! Motherfucker! I'm warning you!" Noah yelled, sweat covering his face.

"We'll see about that." The line went off and Noah threw his phone across the room.

He shouldn't have slept. It's his fault she's in danger. Where is he supposed to look for her?! Why did this happen? What if Luke actually kills her? He's sick.

He fell to his knees, thoughts clouding his mind.

"Goodnight, Noah." Maddy spoke from behind him and hit him hard with the bat in his hand. Noah fell to the floor, unconscious, cursing at himself for being so careless to not look around first.

The last thought he had before he was knocked out was,

I broke my promise. I'm sorry, Emma.
