Emma POV
Today was the day I would meet that fucker. The person who took away whatever I had left.
I wore black shorts and a white t-shirt and my favorite converse. Checking myself once more in the mirror, I headed to the police station.
I entered the station, and followed Officer Paul to a room at the end of the corridor.
"Be calm and careful." He instructed. I nodded and entered the room with a deep breath.
The boy's back faced me, and my heart beat at a wild speed, I took slow steps to him and circled around the chair.
With a deep breath, I took the last step that brought us face to face. As soon as I saw him, I lost my entire cool and my hands encircled his neck and I pressed hard. "You son of a bitch!! You killed my grams! I will kill you! You stole everything from me!" I screamed at him, my body shaking uncontrollably and my voice, hopeless.
Officer Paul barged in and removed me from the coughing boy who still hadn't said a word. I elbowed the officer in the ribs, knowing that I could go to jail for it but at the moment; I didn't care, and walked towards the boy.
I put my tiny hands on his broad shoulders and my mouth dipped to his ear, my strawberry blonde hair fell on his shoulder, and I threatened him with deadly venom dripping from my voice, "You messed with the wrong person, boy. Watch your back. Trust me, once you're out of here, I'll make your life living hell."
As I moved back, for some seconds, our eyes met and I saw sorrow and grief in his deep blue eyes. It felt like he lost all will power and the reason to live, he lost something important and precious to him. But what pissed me off was the fact that he had no shame, no regret or guilt for what he had done. How can someone be so low? So cold?
With an icy glare I walked out of the room to my car, ignoring the judgmental looks I was receiving from the staff of the police department.
I went back home and slammed the door shut. I was angry. Furious. Confused. I didn't know what to do. Opening the door to grams room, I sat on her bed, and looked around the clean room. She always scolded me for not cleaning my room; she was a great influence and parental figure in my life. She didn't let me break again, but in the end, she broke me herself. Why?! Just answer me! Why me? Why did you leave? Why?! Just answer me. Please.
