"So this is actually your place?" He opens and closes his mouth like a fish.

"Well, no. my grandpa and I used to come here. He bought this place and then all their property was passed down to me, including this, so yeah you could say this is mine" she uttered thoughtfully.

"Wow."

They took out the bags from the car and took them inside.

"Are you sure this place isn't haunted?"

"I will sew your mouth together if you don't shut up." She groaned.

"How long are we going to stay here?" she asked as she collapsed on the sofa and Noah looked around, amazed at how clean and huge the place was.

"Probably two days?" he muttered as he sat next to her.

"Hmm. Let me show you your room." Emma dragged him to the room upstairs. The room was big and had a bed in the center, with a bathroom at the left.

"I'll be in the room, next to yours, sleep, its" she checked her phone, "3.30am."

With a slam of the door, she returned to her room.

It was 5 am and she couldn't sleep. She had memories surround her mind, how her grandparents used to bicker at little things and make her laugh, how they loved each other, and their affection. They were indeed her world. And now her world broke.

Sighing, she got out of the bed and put on her slippers. Wrapping a blanket around her bare shoulders and legs, she stepped out of her room and tip toed out of the house, not wanting to wake up Noah.

On the other side, Noah was still not asleep. Although he was tired but he couldn't sleep. He felt something weird. Some connection. He thought about the first time he met her, she was one fierce kitten. But her eyes told her truth about her. My mom always told me I was good at reading people, her eyes showed that her world broke, all she wanted was comfort. She didn't need revenge, she needed comfort. She needed someone to love her, like they did. She needed solace. She thought it was revenge but it wasn't. I saw it right through her. She was tired of losing people. That's why she didn't make friends and she tries to avoid me at times because she thinks she'll lose us. She doesn't want to be crushed again. She wants to be free, like a bird, she needs to fly and I'm going to make it happen. I'll help her break free.

Exhaling softly, he decided to check up on her. He tip toed to her room to find the door wide open. Panic rose in his entire body and his heart beat at a stormy pace. Entering her room, there was no sign of her, her bed was unmade. He checked the bathroom and it was empty. He rushed downstairs hoping to find her in the kitchen. After searching the whole house his eyes finally landed on the window and he saw her, sitting on the grass, surrounded by a couple of butterflies and flowers, her feet soaking in water. There was a lake here? He wondered. And she didn't tell me? What if she wanted to drown me there? Nah. She wouldn't or would she? Hey, you never know the mind of a woman.

He went close and observed her. She was graceful as a swan. That day, when she pranked him, yeah I hated it. She looked so fucking hot. Like really hot. That white dress hugged her curves perfectly and that gun made her twice as sexy. Yeah, I know I was on the verge of death but you can't blame me!

He knew that she got startled easily and he smirked. Getting a little closer, he yelled, "BOO!" and she screamed muttering curses in between.

"Holy shit! Are you fucking crazy?! You scared me to death." she shouted as she sent him an icy glare.

"I scared you? What about me? You scared me too. You sneaked out of the house, I've been looking for you for the past fifteen minutes." he scoffed and stumbled next to her.

"You were worried about me?" she giggled.

"I... no... I was just umm..." he stuttered as a blush rose up his neck and she chuckled.

"You're just in time for the sunset, lucky bitch." She muttered.

A cold breeze blew and Noah shivered, for he was only in a tank top and shorts showing off his toned arms and legs. "Sharing is caring, you know?" he grunted.

She snorted and made space for him in the large blanket. He squiggled in and made himself comfortable; he wrapped a hand around her waist and laid his head on her shoulder.

She turned to give him a sharp look, "what are you doing?"

"You're soft, not my fault." He replied. He just needed another reason to hold her. Jesus, this boy.

"Why are you out here?" he asked as they watched the amazing sunrise in each other's arms. Just like he wanted.

"Too many thoughts. You?"

"Same."

An evil idea popped up in his mind and he knew she'd hate him for it. After the sunset, they stood up; to return inside but Noah had other plans and he spun her in the air making her shrieked and what he did next was expected.

He jumped into the freezing lake with her in his hands. She screamed and he laughed. They both shivered and Emma wrapped her hands around his neck and legs around his waist tightly as she yelled curses at him and he threw his head back and laughed.

"You enjoy my misery too much." She moaned.

She looked charming and irresestible, all he wanted to do was attack her lips with his. He was dreaming. She was beauty. She screamed at him but he couldn't hear anything, he was lost in her eyes. When a smack woke him up from his daydreaming phase.

"Ouch. Jesus woman! When will you stop abusing me?" he groaned as his raked her body and he smirked.

"Black suits you well." She looked at her soaked body and whined. He was looking at her bra. My god. She hid her red face in his chest as he laughed. "I hate you so much." She mumbled.

Shepeeked behind him and then, all the color from her face drained.
