Chapter 4 - Wanna fight

I woke up alone. I was grateful, but my predator was not exactly happy about it. She felt betrayed. 

He left us and we are never getting a mate and we are gonna die alone and without anyone...

Oh shut it...

But... but I miss him

You don't even know him.

Yeah I know it is weird to have conversations with myself... my predator.

I stood up, still wearing my clothes from yesterday. On a chair beside the bed there was a set of clothes. I quickly changed everything except my gloves, then I braided my hair and took the combat boots on.

I walked outside of the tent. I found the boys outside, but no Pan. So I walked up to the boys, got some breakfast and sat on a bench by the bonfire.

I was almost done eating when Pan came back. 

"So, today is training day, even for you Katherine. We will meet at the training area in ten minutes." Pan spoke very seriously.

 "Alright, we are gonna train hand-to-hand fighting. Each of you will have a partner. We will be standing in a line, if you win you get a better partner and of course opposite if you loose. So chose a partner and lets get this going."

 Everyone found a partner except me, Felix and Pan, I assumed that they weren't going to fight anyone. So I just waited.

After a little while of me just standing there, which was very awkward, Felix came over.

"Wanna fight". He asked very casually.

"Alright, but I haven't really been fighting much before, so I am possibly a huge newbie."

We stood in front of each other. He started going in circles around me. I just stood there, not even bothering to turn around. I could hear his every step, even without my hearing - that by the way is a lot better than a humans - I just knew exactly where he was.

Again he was behind me, but this time I just knew that he would make a move. He went for my shoulder, but I quickly moved to the other side. I turned around, caught him of guard, and punched him in the stomach. He buckled down, it must have hurt a lot more than i thought it would. But now that i started why not finish him of. 

So while he was like that I grabbed his head and smashed it into my knee several times, then I let go and he fell to the ground. He looked like he was crumbling in pain. Well it wasn't meant to have been that hard...

I just stood there staring at him, and I wasn't alone. All the lost boys had stopped fighting to stare at him - the second in command - being in pain.

"Good job". It was Pan who spoke.

"I must say, I didn't expect that". Me neither, but I wasn't gonna say that. I just stood there starring at Felix. I really didn't hit that hard... did I?

"Alright, alright, everybody go back to you own fight. Felix get a grip and stand up, it is almost embarrassing to see you like that." It was Pan who spoke again. I must admit beating Felix felt good, even though he is now struggling to get up, probably because of the pain.

"How did you know when I was gonna attack you?" Felix sounded like he didn't have a clue.

"Come on, your steps were so loud that I would be able to hear you coming a mile away" I explained. Everyone looked shocked, even Pan looked a little shocked at my answer.

"That's impossible, Felix is the second most silent attacking person here." Said Pan. Okay, maybe I overestimated the human hearing just a little bit.

"Ehm.." How am I going to answer this.'Oh, sorry it may just be my special hearing, because as you all know I am not even human'. Yeah that is going to sound great.

"Ehm.. I thought it was loud" I said that way to low and fast. Yeah great thinking. Note the sarcasm.

Peter Pan's POV

The more I thought about it, the more she seemed like a mythical being. The strength, the speed, the grace and obviously the hearing. But again, when I met her the first time she didn't seem like that at all. I pushed the thought away.

I wanted her to become a part of the lost boys, since she did just beat Felix she could become a great third or even a new second in command. She just have to go through the three tests to become a lost boy... girl, a lost girl. 

"Felix, you go back to you tent and get over..." I motioned at his body "this" I said. " everybody else, keep on training. We..." I motioned at Katherine "can go hunting" I turned around and started walking into the forest, towards the camp.

Katherine's POV

I followed him quickly, walking behind him.

After walking for about 5 minutes, I could feel a well known shiver down my spine. My predator wanted to change.

I am longing for running trough the forest.

Well we can't do that. If we just disappeared suddenly they would get suspicious, and I don't want them to know.

Well what if I don't care... I want to run freely and I want to kill something...

Suddenly I bumped into Pan. He turned around and cocked an eyebrow.

"You like to get close, huh." He asked. I blushed, why do I blush. Freaking blood, keep away from my cheeks. I looked into the ground, my hair covering my cheeks.

All of a sudden, my stomach churned. It is seriously not a good timing.

I'm hungry... if you don't change, and let us run soon. I'll change for you...

"I.. I have to go" I said as I started running, away from Pan, away from the camp and away from the lost boys.

But Pan ran after me. I turned around quickly to see that he was gaining on me. Damn he was fast. I turned back around, just to be slowed down by almost bumping into a tree. But I avoided it. My eyes changed into the too familiar yellow/gold color

Suddenly Pan grabbed me and slammed me up against a tree. He took both of my hands, and held them with one hand above my head. He lowered his head so it was only inches away from mine. I didn't dare to look him in the eyes.

"As long as you are on my island, you will not flee. If you do there will be a punishment. Are we clear." He said very low, in an almost threatening whisper. I just nodded, which seemed to satisfy him. 

But my predator was still in the surface. So as soon as he let go, I ran again. This time he didn't follow me.

"This is my island, no matter where you are, I will find you" Yelled Pan after me.

As soon as I was long enough away for him to see me. I changed into my tiger.
