Chapter 5 - Look me in the eyes

I was walking aimlessly around the forest in my tiger form. I had already killed and eaten a whole deer. My eyes had turned back to blue just when I had finished that deer. I hoped that she was satisfied for some time.

I didn't want to go back to the camp, but at that point I saw no other option. The problem is that, when I chance back I am naked. And walking into the camp naked or as a tiger doesn't seem like a good idea. 

So I started walking towards where I changed first. The place is quite close to the camp, so I was thinking about what to do if I met a lost boy. So I changed into my black cat, maybe they wouln't notice or think as much about seeing a cat, as if I was a tiger.

Suddenly I could hear lost boys, they were everywhere. I started to sneak closer. I couln't even hear myself coming. Which meant that I was very silent.

I was hid in some bushes only 3,5 meters(11,5 feet) away from my clothes. But there was lost boys everywhere, I think they were looking for Pan. 

I waited, waited and waited. Hidden and in a cat form.

They were starting to get fewer, from now on I just had to wait until they looked away or they would be distracted.

All of a sudden they all looked away, there were only two left. I don't know why they looked away, maybe they heard a sound. 

I ran in there as silent as I could, I took my pants and shirt, I couldn't carry anymore. As if on cue, both lost boys looked at me on the same time. They seemed shocked that a cat would steal clothes...

I ran the second I realized they wanted to take the clothes back. They followed me, so I ran under some bushes and turned left. It was hard to run fast as long as the clothes were against the ground. So I hid under some bushes again, turned back into my tiger. Now the clothes weren't touching the ground. So I outran them easily, now I just hoped they weren't in trouble.

I ran back towards the camp, I had already changed back. I was currently only in my pants and shirt, which meant that I was barefoot and freezing. 

By coincidence I found my way back to the clearing where I changed first. My shoes, socks and my jacket were still there. I wandered over there, put it on and walked towards the camp again.

I knew that Pan would give me some kind of punishment. Well he threatened about it so I guess there is going to be a punishment.

I came to the camp. Well I just have to get over it, so I just walked in. Everyone saw me almost instantly, except Pan. Felix stood just beside him and started to poke Pan and say his name. Finally he turned around.

"How did you know, that I can't feel whee you are, when you are up in the trees?" Said Pan. 

Play along.

"Just a wild guess, I guess that I was just lucky that I was right." Smooth saving.

"We found your clothes in the woods, how did you get it back and why did you loose it in the first place?" He asked. Everybody looked at me curiously.

"Ehm.. I needed a bath and an animal stole my clothes. Later I found it on the forest floor, different places in the forest." Wow, I really need to practice my lying skills.

"Hmm.." it looked like he was thinking if he should believe me or not. But in the end he must have pushed it aside. He spoke again...

"BOYS, time for a punishment." Two boys came and grabbed my arm, one from each side.

"Bring her to the chair and tie her up" And they did, very tight even. I had to keep myself calm, if not my predator would 'take over', and then hell would break loose. 

Pan held out his hand, and all of a sudden there was a small cage. He slowly made his way over to me, and stopped right in front of me. Then he opened the cage and took out a snake(the picture). He held it on it's head so it couldn't bite him. He placed it in my lap.

"This is the Red Killer Viper. The reason for it's name is that, if you get bitten, you would rather be dead." Alright not exactly the calm thought I was looking for. 

The snake was hissing at me. It rose it's head and prepared to attack. It stared right into my eyes...

That's when my instincts kicked in. 

I closed my eyes, just for a second when I opened them again my eyes where golden yellow. I looked the snake right into it's eyes. Just with my eyes I told it that I had the authority, and if it bit me it would be worse for itself.

Slowly the snake crawled back, down my leg and into it's cage. Which was now on the ground.

Peter Pan's POV

I placed the snake in her lap. She looked calm, which confused me, but I didn't show it.

"This is the Red Killer Viper. The reason for it's name is that, if you get bitten, you would rather be dead." Which was very true. The people that's been bitten tell that 'it fells like all your bones are breaking' or 'it feels like all your limbs are being ripped off'. It sound's better than it is, trust me.

The snake hissed at her, rose it's head and prepared to attack. I consentraded on the snake, and smirked.

Suddenly the snake seemed to get scared, it lowered it's head and crawled down her leg and into the cage.

I was baffled, the snake didn't attack. It always does.

It was a bulletproof plan. How could... wow, I really must have known nothing about this girl.

"Well, that was a disappointment. Now tie her up, and go to bed, it's late."

This song helped me write this chapter <3
