Rydel's POV
This moment is unreal. Two months ago, I was doubting that I would ever find "the one". Touring and constantly being surrounded by five guys made it impossible for me to even try to look for love. Little did I know, love is not the type of thing you look for. Love finds you. It could be disguised as a crazed fan, or even someone as close to you as a brother could be, like Ellington. Now that I'm in this small chapel, under the wedding arch with the love of my life, I know that I have found the one.
It is a warm afternoon here in Arizona, but the thing that warms my heart is Ellington. His hands embrace mine as we stare lovingly into each other's eyes. He wears a nice white shirt along with a tie he stole from Riker. Light from the fairy lights on the wedding arch illuminates the room as our little ceremony starts. The minister begins talking about marriage, and how we should be loyal to each other and have kids and stuff, but I don't need to hear that. I was already planning on doing all of that.
"Rydel, do you take Ellington to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health?" the minister asks me.
"I do," I squeal so softly it's almost a whisper.
"Ellington, do you take Rydel to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health?" the minister asks.
"I do," Ellington smiles. He takes my ring out of his pocket and carefully slips it onto my finger before looking into my eyes.
"Rydel, since the moment I met you, I knew I loved you. As I got to know you, I fell in love with every little thing about you from your adorable giggle to your heart of gold. All my life I've been waiting for this day, and now that it's here, I couldn't be happier. I love you, Rydel Mary Lynch."
With that, I know that I won't be able to stop smiling for a while, but I'm ok with that. I take out Ellington's ring and slip it onto his finger as I look into his eyes.
"Ellington, I really don't know how I'm going to top that, but I want you to know that I love you more than I've loved anything in my life. I love you because you always make me smile when I'm feeling down and smile more when I'm already smiling. I just love you so much!" I wipe a few happy tears from under my eyes before I get back to business.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!" the minister announces. Ellington places his hands on my hips and I place one on his cheek and one on his neck. Our eyes close in sync as our lips meet. We smile into the kiss as the feelings of joy, lust, and romance overwhelm us. We reluctantly pull away after a minute or so, and the minister leads us off to do all of the legal stuff. Once that is over, Ellington and I dash outside and into each other's arms.
"I love you, Rydel Mary Ratliff!" he screams as he picks me up and spins me around. I crash my lips onto his as he puts me down and kisses me back.
"I love you too, Ellington Lee Ratliff," I smile before kissing him again. We stand there for a while with our lips moving in sync until our lungs can't possibly take any more.
"What are we gonna do now, babe?" I gasp as I pull away.
"I'm going to take you to a surprise location, but first we need to get some things for the night," he smiles as he leads me to the car. We kiss a bit more in the front seat before he drives us to the pharmacy to pick up a few things we need and to In n Out for some dinner. Once we have everything we need, we drive out of town. I eagerly squirm in my seat, excited for whatever Ellington has plans. Throughout the entire car ride, I try to get him to tell me where we're going, but he won't say. After driving for a few hours, Ellington pulls over in front of a meadow and helps me out of the car.
"Where are we?" I ask him in awe of the meadow's beauty.
"We're here," he smiles as he opens the trunk. He pulls out a tent and a bunch of blankets and pillows and we walk into the meadow. My face breaks out into a grin as I follow him in excitement. As the afternoon fades to evening, Ellington and I goof around as we set up the tent. Once it's up, we pile the blankets and pillows inside. Although I had my doubts at first, I now know tonight will be very comfortable. Ellington goes back to the car to get a few things and our dinner while I wait inside the tent. When he gets back, he puts our things in the tent and takes a blanket for us to sit on while we eat.
"I know this probably isn't what you had envisioned for your wedding night," Ellington starts off. "But I thought we should save our money for other things. I'm sorry I couldn't get us a five star hotel room or a gourmet meal for our wedding night like you deserve."
"Ell, this is perfect!" I assure him.
"No, it's-" I cut him off by pinning him to the blanket and pressing my lips against his until he kisses me back.
"I love you," I moan into his lips.
"I love you too, baby," he moans back as he runs his fingers through my hair. We kiss slowly and passionately for the next few minutes, until my stomach growls. I reluctantly get off Ellington and get my burger out of the bag and Ellington gets his too.
"Here's to an amazing wedding night and our amazing marriage ahead of us," I smile as I hold up my burger. Ell and I touch our burgers together before we devour them along with our fries. After dinner, we end up laying in each other's arms, watching the stars and talking about our future plans.
"Babe?" he whispers.
"Yeah?" I ask as I snuggle closer to him.
"Are you ready?" he asks as he sits up. I look into his deep brown eyes, which are now clouded with lust, as I lay him back down.
"Just a few more minutes," I whisper as I rest my head in the crook of his neck. I bury my nose in his cheek and he turns his lips to meet mine.
"I love you," he whispers as he brushes my lips.
"I love you too," I whisper as I rest my head on his chest and stare up into the night. I shut my eyes for a brief moment and I listen to Ellington's heart beat. In that moment, I feel the most bliss I've ever felt in my entire life.
"Hear that? It beats only for you," Ellington coos seductively. With that, I suddenly jump on top of him and press my lips against his. The kiss heats up quickly and I am overwhelmed with his love.
"You ready now, baby?" he asks into my lips.
"Mhm," I moan. Ellington tears his lips off of mine and stares into my eyes before unzipping the tent and helping me in. He quickly follows and our lips meet once more. Without breaking the kiss, Ell lays me down and zips the tent back up. What happens next will stay between me and Ellington.
