There's a crane fly
buzzing against the bus window.
It's trying to escape,
it wants outside.
It has more chances of dying outside
than what it does fluttering beside me.
Its lifespan is about ten days anyway.
Ever since I spotted it,
I've been googling non-stop.
I know there are misconceptions about crane flies.
I've judged it.
With an appearance
of giant mosquito,
I'm sure you'd get a bad rep too.
Crane flies are harmless.
No stinging, no biting.
Females have a pointed ovipositor.
Wikipedia says it truly looks like a stinger,
but it isnt.
She's trying to get out,
but she's stopped fluttering..
She sits at the bottom of the window.
I'm giving her room.
She's probably distressed,
or panicked.
I wish people would give me that kind of space
when I'm spazzing to extents of dysfunctionality.
I want to help her.
What if she wants to help herself?
