Misaki pov

Today my mother and I were getting ready for my appointment that I hope Hiei remembers to come along as promise.

"Misaki, are you ready to go?" My mom asked.

"Yeah. "I replied. Where is Hiei? He should be here by now. I then heard a knock on the door as I open it to reveal Hiei.

"Y- You actually came as promise! "I beamed.

"Of course I did, girl. "He said with his arms crossed as I heard my mom walking over.

"Oh! Is this a friend of yours Misaki?" She asked.

'Yes. Mom, this is Hiei. Hiei, this is my mom." I introduced the two.

"Oh so you must be my daughter's friend. A pleasure to meet you Hiei. "Mother greeted him as he 'Hn' in response.

"Be nice." I jab him in his side as I felt him glaring at me as I ignore it.

"Misaki! We have to get going." Mother said.

"Right. Mother, is it alright for Hiei to come?" I asked her as replied "Yes".
We got inside of the car to ride around passing by some buildings as we finally made it to the clinic.

"Hopefully this time we are not late unlike last time." I heard mother muffled.

We enter inside as a lady comes out of the door calling, "Misaki Rina?" I stood up straight and walked over to her as I turn around to see Hiei walking over.

"You going to be okay in there?" Hiei asked.

"Yes. You can wait here with my mom it won't be long." I reassured him.

"Fine." He replied flatly.

I followed the lady to let the treatment begin as usual.

Hiei pov

I was waiting in the lobby with Misaki's mother who was reading a magazine. I sat in the chair doing nothing but listening to the clock ticking as time went by. I am curious...
Why is her mother going to any clinics to give Misaki this treatment?

"Mrs. Rina?" I called her as she lift her head up to face me.

"Yes?" She asked.

"I'm very curious to know about you giving your daughter a treatment at the clinic every now and then. Why are you doing this so much for her?" I asked in curious tone as she held her head down sadly.

"I- It was something that had happened to her that fateful day. If I can just let you show me a sign on how I could explain this very momentarily. "She said.

"You've got time to explain." I responded.

She took a deep breath and let out to continue her explanation,"It was when she was only 6 years that her father and I were going to visit her aunt and uncles place.  She was so excited that I remember her eye color without that stupid bandage around her face covering her eyes. I felt like it was my fault that it happened and until then...a drunk driver started swirling around in the car for being drunk to hit us. Her father was gripping as tight as he could to make the car balance and it failed. We felled against the trees that we were taken to a hospital after that horrible accident. 2 months we were in there that being in coma was the worst for it. That's when I remembered a nurse told us that Misaki was blind and it broken my heart. My poor daughter was never going to see her vision of anything again. That's why her father and I decided to set up an appointment for her to fix her eye vision to make things better and not worse." She explained as pang went inside of my chest.

Nor that I have been treating the girl as if she was smart enough to do things her own way. What could be more to her than from getting her vision back? If any cost of her to even see once again and to never be blind till now.

"Thank you for telling me about Misaki. I'll try to protect her if any harm comes to approach her." I vowed as her mother smiled.

"Thank you. It means a lot for me and this family. What will she ever do without a friend like you?"
