Chapter 3

I pulled into the hospital and hit the elevator button to the fifth floor: OB/GYN. It felt weird being here. I went to the nurse's station and asked for Arizona Robbins. I said she was a family friend and I needed her for an emergency.

Minutes later, Arizona came running to the nurse's station. "Katie? What's wrong? Are you okay?" She asked, panicked. She knew I never called unless I truly needed her.

I bit my lip, looking up at her with tears in my eyes. "Aunt Az.." I whispered.

Maybe she knew by the look on my face, or maybe she was a mind reader. But she took me to an exam room and shut the door and blinds. She sat on a stool and held my hands as I sat on the exam table. "Katie... Please don't tell me you're..."

"I-I don't know." I cut her off. I didn't even want to hear the words.

Arizona sighed, she grabbed a blood kit and took my blood to test. She had an intern take it to labs as she talked to me.

"My parents are going to kill me.." I whispered.

"If it's negative, I promise I won't tell them you were here. But Kate, if it's positive, you need to tell them." She said.

"I-I, I can't. They'll hate me. They'll kick me out. I'll just be a disappointment." I said, quivering my lip.

"Listen to me, I've known your parents for a long time. They've both been through hell and back. The last thing they'd ever want to do is kick you out. I can promise you that. I can't promise they're going to take it well though. They'll come around, just give it some time." She said, holding my hand.

The intern came back with the labs, handing them to Arizona.

Arizona took a look inside and sighed. "Katie.."
