Jo walked in from an extremely stressful day at work. She just wanted a long, hot bath and dinner. She had no idea what she was about to walk into.

"Is Chris at work? I don't see his car out there." She said, sitting on the couch next to Alex.

Alex just simply shook his head.

"Then.. where is he?" She asked, furrowing her brows.

"Don't know." He mumbled.

"Alex, where the hell is he?" Jo felt slightly responsible for this boy and the fact that Alex didn't seem to care really upset her.

"I told him to go. I don't know where the hell he is, alright?" He raised his voice.

"Go to bed." Jo said sternly. "I'll take care of this, but you need to stay out of it." She didn't tolerate Alex yelling at her, no matter what the circumstance was.

Alex sighed. He went too far with this, and he knew it. He went up to bed, knowing if he stayed down there Jo would only get more upset.

Jo walked upstairs, cracking open Katie's door. "Katie?" She whispered, just in case she was asleep.

Katie looked up from her place on her bed. "He- he can't do that!" She sniffled, wiping her red, splotchy face. "He can't just kick him out because he doesn't like him!"

"Hey, calm down." Jo said, quietly shutting the door. "What happened?" She asked softly, sitting next to her on the bed.

"He stole a little bit of money. It was only 150. He was going to pay it back, he just needed some gas money." She defended him, wiping her tears. She couldn't handle not being with him. He was her lifeline.

Jo sighed. "That's it?" She asked. "Why are you getting so worked up about this? You know I wouldn't let that happen. Let me call Chris. You don't need to worry about it."

Katie nodded, handing her her phone. She sighed in relief when he actually answered. She was emotional, but she was 23 weeks pregnant and the thought of her not having her partner by her side terrified her.

"He's coming back." Jo said, handing her phone back. "Take a minute and calm yourself down." Katie was always one to overdramatize everything, especially now that she was pregnant.

Chris was home thirty minutes later, hugging Katie as he walked through the door.

"He's not going to do anything. I promise." She said, taking his hand. "Tomorrow we'll go out and shop for the baby, to get away from him."

Chris nodded. Today had been one hell of a day, and he just wanted to sleep. And that's exactly what they did.
