Changing to third person because it's easier lol.
Katie laid in bed, staring at her ceiling. It was 3am on a school night, meaning she wasn't getting much sleep tonight. Everyone in the house was asleep, her parents in their bedroom, and Chris on the couch. Her parents had yet to let Chris sleep in her bed, which she still couldn't exactly understand.

She tossed and turned, unable to get comfortable. "Listen, I'd really appreciate some sleep tonight. It's my first day back to school since we found out about you." She sighed, placing her hand on her -what she thought- flat stomach. She looked down to see a small bump. "Oh my god.." She whispered, a smile coming to her face. "I-I can see you.. you're really in there."

Katie jumped when she heard someone open her door. She was relieved to see it was just Chris. "What are you doing up?" She asked.

"I heard someone talking at 3 o'clock in the morning." He chuckled. "The better question is what are you doing up at 3 o'clock in the morning?" He asked, sitting on the edge of her bed.

"I can't sleep. Any way I try to sleep is uncomfortable." Katie huffed. "But look..." She said, lifting up her shirt to show her slightly rounded stomach.

"Oh wow." Chris said, placing his hand on her stomach. "You can really see her.."

"Her? Since when does the baby have a gender?" She giggled.

"Father's intuition." He stated, crawling in next to Katie. He covered them both up, wrapping his arms around her.

"You know my dad's not going to like this." She said, intertwining their fingers.

"I just want to enjoy it right now." He said, kissing her hair before closing his eyes.

Jo woke early at 4:30am. She hated the early shifts. She was mostly ready to leave, but noticed Chris gone from his spot on the couch where he'd been sleeping the past couple weeks. She had her suspicions and tiptoed to Katie's room.

She peeked her head inside and grinned at the two. As much as she hated seeing her little girl all grown up, that boy made her happier than ever. She took the easy route of shutting the door back and letting them have their sleep.

Jo made her way back to her bedroom. She tapped Alex on the shoulder to wake him.

"Hmm.." He stirred, turning to face Jo.

"Listen, Chris is sleeping with Katie. Before you go all ape-shit on them, just leave them be. Katie's been having trouble sleeping and she's finally comfortable. Do not disturb them, Alex." She scolded, grabbing her keys off the nightstand.

"Fine." He sighed.

Jo kissed his forehead before leaving. "I love you."

Alex was way too tired to respond, already fast asleep.

Katie groaned as the loud blaring of her alarm woke her. "Already?" She frowned when she turned over and Chris was nowhere to be found. "Chris?"

She shrugged when he didn't answer and quickly got ready. The last thing she thought about was trying to look attractive, so her outfit choice consisted of an oversized sweatshirt and some jeans.

She wandered into the kitchen to find Chris at the table with two plates in front of him. "I made breakfast. Nothing big, because I know you don't like a big breakfast, so just an egg and toast." He said, patting the empty seat next to him.

Tears stung Katie's eyes. "You made me breakfast?" She questioned.

"Yeah. Kate, you okay?" He asked, concerned.

Katie sniffled. "That's just really sweet." She said, sitting down. Her hormones were all over the place. One minute she'd be crying her eyes out, and the next she'd be ready to rip someone's head off.

The couple ate their breakfast and drove to school in silence. Katie took the 20 minute drive for some extra rest.

Throughout the day, no one noticed Katie's pregnancy. However, one of her friends did notice her puking in the bathroom in 4th block, but decided to not question it.

By the time she was home, Katie was exhausted. Especially considering the fact she'd gotten a whole 3 hours of sleep that night. She wasn't inside the house 5 minutes before she crashed on the couch.

Alex walked by and couldn't help but grin. He took a blanket and laid it over her. In ways, she still looked like that two year old little girl who slept with one hand under her head and her thumb tucked in her mouth. He kissed her forehead and motioned Chris to the couch to lay by her. He wasn't all the way warmed up to Chris, but he was getting there. Slowly and steadily.
