Chapter 41: A Chance

Minah's POV

I woke up earlier than I usually do. I'm going jogging since the weather has been good. I was planning to go on my own but Jungkook wanted to come along because he didn't go jogging for awhile now..

"Jungkook" I called.

"Yes?"

"Are you coming?"

"Oh, yes. I'm on my way, please wait for me"

"Okay, I will."

I put my earphones on as I waited for Jungkook.

After a few minutes, I heard the doorbell. I assumed it was Jungkook.

"Hey!" I greeted him.

"Hey." he hugged me.

"So, let's go? It's getting late." he asked.

"Oh, sure. I'll just lock the door, I'm coming. Go ahead." I smiled.

"Sure, I'll wait for you in the car." he smiled as he left.

I quickly grabbed my keys as I locked the door and jogged to Jungkook's car.

"Let's go?" I asked as I put my seatbelt.

I think it's stuck. I can't pull it. Ugh, this is so frustrating..

"Want me to help you?" he smiled.

"Yes, it's kinda stuck." I said as I tried to pull it once more.

"Let me see.." he said as he went infront of me, helping me pull the seatbelt as his hand brushed against mine.

His side profile is so attractive. What am I even thinking?

"Done, comfy?" he asked.

I shyly nodded as he started the engine and drove off.

"Let's go?" I asked.

"Come on, let's stop at the end of the road and come back here, arraseo?" he asked.

"Okay, let's go." I smiled.

We jogged for an hour or a half. I saw Jungkook's sweaty red hair. Red definitely suits him.

I grabbed my Ipod as I switched the music. I chose BTS's Boy in Luv. I really like them, honestly.

"You like BTS too?" Jungkook smiled as he continued to focus on the road.

"Yeah, I do. One of them sounds like you. He looks like you too." I chuckled.

"Oh, you mean Jeongguk?" he asked.

"Yeah, he's the youngest." I smiled.

"People would always say that." he smiled.

"Because you do. I would sometimes think that you both are the same person.." I laughed.

"What if we are? Will you like me too?" he got serious.

I slapped his arm as I continued jogging with him.

"Yah! Yah! I was just kidding!" he laughed.

"You better.." I muttered.

We reached the end of the road. When we were about to turn back to where we started, I tripped on a rock, twisting my ankle..

"Ow! Ugh.." I groaned as I fell on the ground clutching my feet.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked trying to help me up.

"Wait, wait Jungkook, I can't!" I shouted as he tried to help me stand up.

"Sorry! I didn't know, here let me.." he said.

"Wait, wha--!" and before I knew it, he carried me bridal style.

"You do know you don't have to do this right?" I looked at him.

"I have too.." he looked deeply into my eyes as he continued to walk with me in his arms.

He put me down on a bench as he examined my ankle. His sweat dripped from his wet red hair..

"You have a bad sprain there.." he said as he tried to hold it.

"OW!! DON'T TOUCH IT!" I yelped in pain.

"Sorry, I think we need to go home.." he said.

"No, it's okay. I'm fine, we can stay here for awhile.." I insisted.

"Okay, fine.." he gave up.

"Minah?" he called.

"Ne?"

"About the thing we talked about earlier.." he said as he rubbed his hands.

"Yeah, what about it?" I asked.

"I was really serious.."

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"Minah, if I would ask for your answer, would you give me a chance? Can I still keep my hopes up for you?"

Sorry for the late late late late update I was really busy.. :<

So this is an IMPORTANT Note.

My first preliminary examination is coming up. It will start on July 14 - 16.
