CLIFFHANGERS

Riverdale is known for its constant use of cliffhangers at the end of episodes, so it's a given they're used in your fanfictions! Although cliffhangers are annoying they create a bigger impact for your book and make those reading instantly more interested as to what will happen next.

You want the cliffhanger to make the readers itch for more and here's some tips!

ONE - DON'T USE IT TOO MUCH
Don't have them in every single chapter or it makes the book more predictable! Use them at moments when they're really going to make a punch! My personal favourite although it kills me is using one in the final chapter of your book (if you're going to make another) it makes the readers excited and that's exactly what you want!

TWO - KEEP THEM REALISTIC
Never make the cliffhangers too outrageous or unrealistic. Although there are parts of Riverdale that are unrealistic you don't want to add a cliffhanger about aliens landing on earth, that's just too unreasonable! If it's too unreasonable the readers will most likely lose interest and you never want them to seem bored while reading something like a Riverdale fanfiction!

THREE - DON'T DRAW THEM OUT TOO MUCH
Don't draw out the cliffhanger for too long, try to address it in the next chapter or the one straight after. This will also keep the reader's interest.

I hope these helped!
