Cas stepped closer to Dean, as Sam put his beer down, shocked. "This is an angel's wok," he muttered.
"Yeah, Cas, it was you. You did the 'work'". Dean frowned and Castiel glared at him.
"Not that. I mean your ability to become impregnated. Your body has grown a womb," he placed his hands on Dean's stomach. "You will be having twins on the 23rd of August".

"Twins?" Sam repeated, the first word he'd said since he found out his brother was pregnant. He sounded strained.

Dean glanced over at Sam, and swallowed. "You said it was an angel. Which one? We can get 'em to undo it," he asked, and Cas dropped his hands.
"You do not want them?" he asked, and Dean's heart almost broke. Almost.
"Shit," he cursed, "I don't know, okay?" He took a breath, gathering himself. "I just found out I'm having twins, alright? Give me some time to think".
"I will support you, Dean," assured him, and left with a flutter of wings.

"Dean?" he heard his brother say. "Why don't you want them?"
"It's not that," he raised his voice slightly, then caught himself. "I just- I don't wanna fuck 'em up". Sam shook his head, like Dean was being ridiculous.
"Dean. Trust me, I know. You will be a fantastic father".

Dean looked up at his brother, who was smiling down at him gently. He blamed the tears gathering in his eyes on the hormones.

----

Dean felt like he used to, waking up after a night of bingeing - fuelled by self hatred. Except, this time, minus the alcohol and busty waitress. He felt the vomit rise in his throat again, and wondered where Cas was.

The angel had barely left his side since he'd told him he wanted to keep them.

He heard the tell-tale rush of wings as he flushed the toilet and brushed his teeth. "Dean," Cas greeted him, and the hunter went into his room to see him. He looked at the array of shopping bags.
"Mall madness, huh?" he commented, and sipped some water. "Where you been?"

"I have been researching pregnancy, Dean," he informed him, and pulled out a brand new copy of 'What to Expect When You're Expecting'. Dean held in a laugh. "You'll need to significantly change your diet," he ignored Dean's amused snort, "And maybe join Sam on his morning jogs".

"Cas, calm down. It's alright," he assured him. "I'll be careful, I promise". The angel put his hand over Dean's, and lead both of their hands to rest on Dean's stomach.
"I love you," Cas reminded him, and Dean smiled.
"You still gonna love me when I lose my figure?" he joked. The angel gave a rare smile. "You're an idiot," he looked into blue eyes. Castiel knew that was reciprocation he saw on Dean's face.

"I will love these fledgings as much as I do you," he continued, and Dean stepped away.
"Alright, you sap, that's enough of the sweet talking," he dismissed, his voice lacking malice. "Since you knocked me up, with twins I might add, you can get me a pizza. I've been dying for one all morning".
"No, Dean," Cas said firmly. He picked up his book. "You mustn't give in to your cravings, it's bad for the them".
"Cas," he whined, but Castiel didn't give in.
"I'll make you some tomato rice soup," he promised.
