Dean had still been mad when he'd gone to bed, but Castiel had insisted he take a nap. The angel had kissed him gently on the forehead, before going out to join Sam and Gabriel in the main room.

"So how is this going to work?" Sam began, his curiosity finally peaking. He received two blank stares in return. Sam rolled his eyes. "Unless I'm mistaken, Dean doesn't exactly have a vagina," he said bluntly.

"You are correct, Sam. Dean does not have a vagina," Cas confirmed, and Gabriel snorted.
"And you can take it from him, he's really checked". Sam cringed and Gabriel sighed. "Don't worry, Sammy boy," he assured, and unwrapped a piece of chocolate before throwing it into his mouth. "We're going with a c-section, obviously," he managed around his snack.
"Right".

Sam didn't get much sleep that night, and when his older brother walked out into the war room, he looked worried. He was sitting at the table, his head resting in one of his hands. His bottom lip was tucked into the top. "Alright, what's wrong?" Dean interrupted his thoughts, and Sam jumped.
"I've just been thinking," he tried.
"That's dangerous," Dean joked.
"Yeah. Dean I've been thinking, you know, about how Gabriel found us".
"You heard him," Dean rolled his eyes. His mood always soured when the topic of the Trickster came up. "Cas has a beacon..." he trailed off. He looked pale.
"Dean..."
"No, Sam".

"Look, I don't want it either. But we have to consider the possibility that maybe," he made a vague gesture with a wave of his hand. "Maybe Gabriel isn't the only angel that can find Cas. And, in turn..."

"The twins," Dean swallowed. "You think him being here is putting them in danger?"
"Look, Dean, I don't want to believe it. But we have to consider that maybe-" Sam sighed. "Yes".

"Wait, Sam," Dean tried to reason with him. He could feel his entire face go warm.
"Dean, I'm sorry," his brother didn't look at him.

He turned his back to face Sam and jabbed a finger into his shoulder.
"Hey! You don't get to apologise," he shouted. "You just told me that he might have to-" he didn't want to say it.

"I'm just trying to help, Dean".
"Well, don't!" he finally exploded. "Help me, don't help me". He started to walk away, but stopped to look over his shoulder. "Don't tell Cas". It wasn't a request.

Dean left, walking into the kitchen, and narrowly avoided seeing his love. Castiel stood at the other doorway, and carefully processed what he'd heard.
