❦ Chapter 16 ❦

    By the time you woke up, you were seeing double. Your body felt uncomfortably hot and nausea washed over you. You wanted to vomit but refuse to.

      It felt like torture when you woke up. Lifting your gaze up, you noticed you were in an isolated room. The walls were made of slate and a few cracks ran along on it. There were windows but it was covered with nailed planks of wood.

      Not only that but it was also cold and dark, save for the tiny light source hanging above you. Seems like you were the only one inside the room.

     How did you get there? Why were you here? It was as if you were in a dream and is a bit amnesiac. You silently cursed, you can't remember anything.

     Well, all you can recount is that you and the girls were at the mall and then what happen?

     It was on the tip of your tongue but is still unidentified. Wriggling your arms, you noticed you were chained up, with the metal connected to the wall behind you.

      The chain was cold around your neck, wrist, and ankles. Your lips trembled and eyes burned as you keep the tears at bay. You were scared.

      That is when it clicked, you were kidnapped earlier when a bunch of villains attacked the mall. You were treating a small girl before the abduction happen.

      The door was busted open and a figure loomed over you.

     "Hello!" the individual greeted. Once they were close enough to the light, you finally got to see their faces.

     "K-kaede?" you croaked. What was she doing?

     "Tsk. You still look pretty even if you're beaten up," poison laced her voice.

     You balled your fist with difficulty, "What do you want?"

     You don't know what her deal is with you but it was certain that she is a threat.

     "Well, I don't know. All I wanted was to see you beat up and helpless but I guess I don't have any further motive after that. . ." she replied, circling around you while avoiding the chains.

     "But now that you're here, I could sell you for a hefty price. A doll-like you could worth much in human trafficking," the female then gave you a smile.

    A chill crept down your spinal cord at her facial expression. Her smile was liked a loaded gun, ready to kill you at all times.

     "Or maybe keep you as a hostage and get money from your own family as a bargain! What do you think, (____)?" Kaede was now in front of you, her gloved hands raised at your level. You kept your mouth shut and your eyes glare daggers at her.

    "Don't give me that look. I'm making you choose! Be sold in the Black Market, bargain you to your family, or. . ." she trailed off, a dangerous vibe settling around the room.

     "I'll kill you then sell all of your organs and body parts! Do you know how much they cost? Oh wow, that seems like a better idea than those two," she was more twisted than a spring coil. "Everything revolves around money, (____)."

     "Let. Me. Go," you emphasized every word.

     "Oh my! So scary!" she taunted. If not for the side effects of the drug earlier and the chains keeping you down, you could've already punched her square in the face.

      "Taunting is not gonna work, (____). I'm used to those already," Kaede rested her palm on your forehead.

     "Ever wondered what my quirk was?" her lips curled up.

     "The opposite of yours, I could secrete deadly poison. How cool is that?"

     You froze, is this where death gets you? When you had so much to do in your life? When you could've done more to save the citizens?

      Shutting your eyes close, you prepared for the embrace of Shinigami only to hear Kaede's laugh echoed around the enclosed room.

     After a few moments, she stopped and grabbed a fist full of your hair and tugged it upwards. The force makes you open your eyes and greet her magenta hued ones. The female opens her mouth but then closed it again once another individual interrupted her.

      "They've dispatched hundreds of search parties across Japan to rescue her," the stranger informed. Kaede was blocking your view of them and so you couldn't make up their features.

    "Hear that? They're searching for your useless arse! Pfft- I bet that Top One Hero is also looking for you. What was his name again?" she turned to her comrades.

    "Deku," they simply replied.

    "Ha! More like Deadku. Pfft- Oh my I love that pun," the female laughed to herself.

    You gritted your teeth, how dare she make fun of Izuku? She doesn't know how the male worked hard day and night for that spot.

     "Anyway, now that you're here. Might as well have fun, no?" the female roughly pushed your head causing you to fall. Her foot settled on the back of your head while your forehead was in contact with the pavement.

     "Let's see. Mmmm. . ." she pondered, tapping her fingers against her cheek. "What do you want to do, (____)?"

     You didn't notice it but tears started streaming down your face. You choked on a sob and forced to lift up your head.

    "You're insane. . ." you spat.

     "I get called that a lot in the villain world, Hunny," the female retracted her foot back. You finally understood why Katsuki didn't want people knowing he has a girlfriend.

     He had a villain for a girlfriend and knowing that it could destroy his career as a hero.
