"Why the fuck do I have to clean with you?" the ash-blond grumbled underneath his breath. "This wasn't on the deal!"
"Hush, grumpy man. You were the one who volunteered in the first place," you wiped the sweat from your upper lip and sassed the male.
"I fucking did not!" his whole body shook. Not wanting to put more oil into his fire-like attitude, you kept your mouth shut and continued cleaning the window with a damp cloth.
A few weeks had passed since your team's arrival to Ruka and the medical mission was going swell. It was evident that the villagers were more optimistic than before ever since your arrival.
Your team had managed to guide them on the proper ways to treat their own selves and to keep their health in track.
Miyu, who brought her own herbs from home, donated some to Seira's garden. The brunette, in return, gave her some of the exotic plants.
All in all, it was a fair trade and Miyu is now currently studying the said herbs. Things weren't still good between you and Shouto but it didn't matter now since the male looked ecstatic when he's with Seira.
Maybe some things are meant to be left out and let time heal the rest instead of forcing your apologies to him.
Anyway, right now you decided to clean the rest house for a bit while the others are outside doing their own thing.
Lucky for you, the ash-blond walked in and (you might have forced him to) picked up the broom to clean the floor. You could hear his cursing and swears, though it was not directed at you. Rather, it was meant for the wind who kept bringing dust inside.
"Hey, Katsuki. . ." you suddenly called out to him and stopped wiping the windows.
"Mmm?" he grunted.
"Thank you," his brows quirked up at your words. "Thank me for what?"
Spinning yourself to face the ash blond, you gave him a lopsided grin. "Let's see. For everything. The time where you rescued me, the part where you comforted me and listened. . ." you trailed off and watch as his cheeks grew red.
"And for somewhat low key helping me solve my problem with the two."
"One, the rescuing was months ago. Two, I only comforted you 'coz you looked ugly while crying. And Three, Shitty Hair was annoying me with his rants," Katsuki replied back with a snarl but you could see the tips of his mouth quirk up in a smile.
"Feisty as ever," you teased and resumed your work. Silence engulfed the both of you, save for the occasional cursing of the male and the squeak of the glass.
"You know, Katsuki. . ." you called out, receiving a hum from the ash-blond as a response. "Despite your rough attitude, you're pretty nice."
Your comment made him scowl, "What the fuck does that mean?"
"Mmm. . .I don't know but just imagine if ever you would fall in love with me and I too," you said those words unknowingly.
It seemed like your tongue and mouth are doing its thing without your consent. "I wonder what'll happen between both of us."
You giggled to yourself and squeezed the damp towel as you waited for his curses at how delusional or how your thoughts weren't going to happen.
Cold sweat only then began forming on your forehead and back when you don't hear Katsuki's colorful vocabulary. Have I gone too far? you though.
