"Alright girls!" Dev announced as they continued to yell and scream in excitement when he told them their grandmother, Dev's mother, was coming to get them for the weekend at her house. "I hope you guys have packed everything for the weekend. I don't want you guys calling up Sonakshi to tell her you forgot your toothbrush and now someone needs to come drop it off."

"Don't worry Dev." Sonakshi said as she brought a bag with her and placed it with the small backpacks each of the girls had packed. "I've checked it out."

For the first time since Roshni, someone had done that. Someone else had check everything and assured him that everything was in place. In the past five weeks, Dev wasn't as worried about his daughters because of Sonakshi. She was a great help and she would be gone in another two months.

"Thank you." He finally said.

"Royal Cafe called to make confirm your table for tonight, I confirmed it."

"Oh! That was tonight?" Shivani said disappointed.

"Yes I forgot Shivani."

"Forgot what Son?" It was the sweet fluttering voice of his mother. She smiled at him and kissed his cheeks. "Did you forget I was coming today?"

"No." He grinned at his mother and placed an arm around her. "I forgot I had a reservation at Royal Cafe for the Jazz night, tonight. But my three royal princesses are leaving me for the next three days." He bend down as Sia ran into his arms. "I'll miss you guys."

Sonakshi held the backpack in her arms and held it with a dreamy smile while Dev kissed his daughter. Dev's mother noticed.

"Is this Sonakshi?" She asked.

She straightened and smiled. "Hi Mrs. Dixit."

"Hi. I'm so glad you took up this job. Dev hasn't been this relaxed in years."

"I'm glad I could help you." She smiled and gave Sia her backpack. "Have fun." She ruffled her hair and grinned at her cute girl.

Dev's heart did a complicated flip. How many times had Roshni did the same thing before their daughters were going somewhere with someone else? The count was endless.

Sia hugged Dev again and then Sonakshi before leaving.

"I'll call Royal Cafe and cancel your booking for tonight."

"No." He quickly took her hand and she turned around. "It's been confirmed and even if you would cancel it, I would still have to pay." He hesitated for a second. "Do you like jazz?"

"I do, why?"

"Would you like to go with me? I would have taken Natasha but she hates jazz. All three of my girls love jazz. I mean you don't have to say yes but I just don't want to go alone or-"

"Breath Dev. I don't need an explanation. I will go, I love jazz." There was a grin on her face due to the explanation and the fact he was still holding her hand.

"Thank you."

"Formal or casual?"

"Semi." He shrugged. "I'm not really dressing up. I hate it."

"Do you mind leaving my hand?"

"Oh!" He quickly took his hand back and watched Sonakshi laugh. "I'm sorry I just...forgot I was still holding your hand."

"It's ok." She ruffled his hair like she had done with Sia a few moments ago and then left.

Sonakshi looked around the small cafe. Although it was called Royal cafe nothing about it was exactly royal. It was small and somewhat crowded but she liked it. It was much better than a fancy restaurant where she would be extremely uncomfortable and she couldn't have helped to look at the menu and gag at the expensive prices for a glass of wine.
