The door burst open and Shivani rushed into the room disturbing the conversation Sonakshi and Dev were having in his office.

"I'm sorry Dad but I didn't have the patience to knock and come in and all the formalities." She was tensed, worried and talking really fast.

"Is everything ok?" He took her hand and pulled her forward. "Are you sick?"

"No Dad." She looked at Sonakshi and then back at him. "You haven't read today's newspaper, have you?"

"No." He leaned over to his desk and picked it up. "Anything special??"

Shivani heaved a sigh. "No it's horrific." She took the newspaper from his hands and handed her the particular page she had in her hand. "Today's headlines involve the "affair" you and Sonakshi are supposedly having. With pictures."

"What?" Sonakshi stood and snatched the paper from Dev's hand before he could look. "Neil Singhania confirmed the news." She dropped the paper on the desk and then sat down in the chair again. "That man is an idiot. I hate this so much."

Shivani frowned when her father didn't say a word about the matter. She glanced at the phone when it rang. When Dev reached to pick it up she stopped him. "I'll get that Dad. I'm sure it's something from a newspaper or a magazine." She knew that because her mother's death was a controversy more than a death, because she was the wife of the rich Dev Dixit.

While Shivani took the call and told who ever the caller was Dev wasn't in at the moment, Dev walked to Sonakshi and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry Sonakshi."

She looked up at Dev and frowned. "Why do you always say sorry Dev, specially when it's not your fault." She was dressed in a turtle neck and pants despite of the warm day. "What are we going to do about this?"

Before Dev could reply the door opened again and Natasha walked in with the newspaper on her hand, and threw it on Dev's face. Sonakshi stood up shocked while Shivani put the phone down angry at Natasha's behavior. She expected Natasha to understand, she was after all dating Dev.

"What is this Dev?" She folded her arms in front of him with a cold look.

"That isn't the way to talk to my Father." Shivani walked beside Dev and picked up the newspapers from his feet.

"When two people are talking you mustn't interfere, Shivani." Natasha told her in an angry.

"Natasha you have no right to be shouting at my daughter. If anything, you should be calm right now and understanding, or at least pretend to be." Although he was angry at her he kept his own voice down.

"Ok." She took a deep breath. "Sack Sonakshi and marry me."

"What?" Dev couldn't help but scream now. "What the hell does that mean? I can't just sack her and marry you."

"Then these rumours must be true." She looked at Sonakshi and gave her a disgusted look. "I should have known from the day I met you. You left such a nice man like Neil for someone richer."

"Are you saying Dev isn't a nice man?" Sonakshi smirked at her while Shivani couldn't help but suppress a laugh.

"Dev, are these rumors true or not?"

"Absolutely not." He couldn't be calm when the lady wasn't cooperating. "And even if I were to marry you, what about my daughters? Would you accept them?"

"Yes." She moved forward and held his hand. "Move back to England with me. We can put the girls at a boarding school and..."

"That is absolutely preposterous." Sonakshi stood up and folded her arms before her.
