Chapter 5

I woke up in Jacob's bed. Strange... I didn't remember moving. I swung my legs off of the single bed in Jake's tiny box room, I recall the events of Yesterday. I must've been tired if i slept the entire day. I remember lots of fighting and two very large..... I stopped my thoughts there. They were wolves. How was that even possible? I got up to go find Jake. As I stood up from the bed, I felt surprisingly comfy. Looking down at myself I saw that somebody had changed me out of my clothes and into some of Jacob's sweats and a jumper. I sincerely hope it was Emily that changed me, even though i didn't know her that well. I just felt an instant connection with her. Like we are gonna be great friends. I scanned the room and saw that my clothes from yesterday were folded in a pile in the corner. I picked them up and trotted over to the bathroom to get dressed. Coming out of the bathroom, i ran into Billy.
"Good Morning Bella," He said,smiling at me
"Morning Billy, do you mind if i help myself to some cereal or something?" i questioned him politely.
"No of course not Bella" Billy replied in a fatherly voice.
I smiled at him and skipped through to the living room/kitchen area. I saw Jake asleep on the couch, i smiled at how child-like and adorable he looked. I felt an overwhelming urge to protect him. I tore my eyes away from him and helped myself to a bowl of cereal. When i was done i washed up my bowl and went to sit by Jacob's feet, waiting for him to wake up. Billy rolled himself back in and i started to ask him questions about yesterday.

"So what actually happened last night?" i asked

"That was Jake and Sam Uley. I heard that Jacob told you the Quileute legends, so you know that we are supposedly descended from wolves. Well a few lucky members of the tribe, have that gene. Jacob has it." He replied

"Well that explains why they were both giant wolves, but why were they fighting?"

"Because Jacob was angry at Sam, he wanted to be able to see you and tell you everything, but Sam forbade it. Saying it was for your own safety. Jacob didn't like it and he stepped up to his title as Alpha, which had previously been occupied by Sam. Jacob won, so he is the new Alpha" Billy replied, sighing at his son.

After I had finished interrogating him about about Jacob, I turned on the TV and watched, not moving from my spot on the floor by Jacob's feet. He must've been tired, because it was about 2 o'clock in the afternoon by the time he woke up. I knew he was up, because i felt him move, and I heard him groan.
"Hey sleepy head" i said mocking him a little
"Hey Bells, when did yo get here?" He said, staring at the back of my head.
turning around to look at him i said " I've been here all da..." I stopped my sentence looking into his eyes.Suddenly nothing else mattered. It was like Jake was mine and only mine. Forever. It was like it wasn't gravity holding me to the earth anymore, it was Jacob.
