Invasion

chapter 1

Gabby's pov

Screaming, everywhere. I'm scared. I don't know what to do but cower in fear. I'm alone I have to find my family, my friends, my love. I see people running in fear. Hiding, screaming, trying to defend there families. "Gabby" I hear a familiar voice behind me. I turn around to see Toby. He ran towards me, then grabs my hand and starts running. I turn my head to see my school completely destroyed. As I ran by I see my street it's in pieces. Then I turn to see my house. Surprisingly its in one piece. I turn to Toby and let go of his grasp. He looks at me while I just stand there staring in shock of what's happening. All i can think of is this is my fault. He tries to undo the trance I'm in but there's no hope. This is my fault this is my fault. There I stand staring into the distance thinking about my past and my present. How I used to play in my backyard with my older brother as we were children, and how my mother would play along. My father was never around. He would always work on his Big Project. But my mother would always be home taking care of my family. And then I realized awakening from my trance my Mother is in there. "I have to get her out of the house!" I thought out loud. I tried running to the house until Toby stopped me. He yells to me "Gabby No it's to dangerous!" I yell back. " I have to get her out!" "Who!" he said more worried than every. I turn to him with tears in my Dark Blue eyes and say "My mother." I then push him away from me I ran towards My old home hoping she's still alive. I ran up to the front porch to open the door, until I was stopped and was pushed away. I turn to see a giant bolder heading towards my house then crushing it into pieces. I cry out "MOTHER!" After that everything went black. I woke up screaming with tears in my eyes crying out mother over and over again. I see my mom run into my room with my brother Marcus behind her with a baseball bat in his hands. They look at me in shock. My mother walks up to me starting to hug me and wipes my tears away from my cheek. she then starts singing a soft lullaby to calm me down.

"Hush now my baby be still now don't cry"

" Sleep as your rocked by the stream"

" Sleep and remember my sweet lullaby"

" I'll be with you as you dream"

She repeats that verse until I fall sound asleep.

(I hope you enjoyed it. It probably wasn't really good but I tried hopefully
