Marcus pov.

I sit on the floor of the lobby in a miserable daze. "Mom I don't know what to do. Gabby is upset and you... I couldn't save you. Im so sorry please forgive me." I say remembering the accident. I shiver at the thought.

Flash back

Marcus pov

I look around hoping to find some familiar faces. Crashes and bangs can be heard from every angle. I rush to my truck. "Marcus!" I turn around and see my co-workers Sebastian and Adrian. There run towards me. "Guys get in we don't have time to waste." Sebastian and Adrian not thinking twice they jump in. Sebastian gose to the passenger seat and Adrian jumps in the back of the truck. We get in and I start the engine. Before I start to drive, I look to my left and see Toby running towards the car. That's when I panic. I notice Gabby isn't with him. I jump out of the car and run towards him. "Toby where's Gabby!" I yell in a ferm voice. "I was going to ask you the same question!" Crap! "Toby where did you last see her." He looks towards the school. "We got seperated in the school." She must be looking for him and mom. "Toby we have to go find her and my mom." I say grabing his arm. "No" I yanks his arm away. "I'm going to go find Gabby you go find your mother." I sigh "Ok, when yoh find her take her to this motel in Los Angelas." I give him a card with the address. We nod in agreement and go our seprate ways. I run back to the truck. "Guys I need you to go to the motel and wait for me there." Sebastian looks at me in shock "your not coming with us." I nod " I have to find my mother." Sebastian nods and jumps infront of the steering wheel. Adrain jumps into the passenger seat. I glance at them one more time and they start to drive off. Ok now to fine mom. Where would she usually be. I run towards the grocery store pushing through running people. I look around at all the stores and notice one store has people. So I run into the store to find several people cowering together. "Mom! Mom are you in here!" I yell out hoping for a respones. "Marcus!" I hear a scared and shacky voice come from the corner. "Mom, thank God I found you." I hug her tightly. "Mom we need to leave now." She nods and starts to get up but stumbles back when a loud thud was heard from outside. I luckly catch her and help her up. "Where's Gabby and your father?" She asks nervously. "Gabbys with Toby, and dad I haven't seen him all day." We start to head outside when I notice something flung  towards us. "Everyone get out!" I yell. People jump out of windows and the emergencie doors. The object hits the opposit side of the building giving only seconds to run out before the building callapses. I was blown away letting go of my mother. Then I hear an ear peircing scream. I stand up but see nothing because of all the dust in the air. Sh*t!. I run into the dusty area looking for her. "Mother!" I yell hoping for her response. "Over here." I hear a faint voice. Ij run towards it. The dust clears up more and I can see more clearly. I see her lower body trapped under the dimolished ceiling. "Oh God." I run towards her and start digging her out. "Mom, mom its ok, your going to be fine. I'm going to get u out of here." I try lifting the ceiling but there's no hope. "Marcus, listen to me. Go find Gabby! Ok you need to find her." I ignore her and keep trying to lift the ceiling. "Baby, please listen to me, you need to live. You and your sister have to live on. Go find her. You have to protect her. Do you understand." No no. "I'm not leaving you! I have to protect you too!" I snap. "Marcus. Marcus! Listen to me! It doesn't matter what happens to me anymore, my legs are crushed I can't run!" "Ill carry you!" I yell back, tears streaming down my eyes. "Im just going to slow you down. If you don't go were both going to die, dammit!" She yells with such force. "No I'm not leaving you behind!" I keep trying but nothing is working. Suddenly, my truck drives up next to me. Wait my truck! "Marcus get in." Adrian yells from the car. I ignore it and just keep trying. "Guys! You need to get Marcus out of here! He won't listen to me! Get him away from here, now!" She yells in demanding voice. Sebastian nods and they both jump out. Each on grabs me from both sides and forcefully through me in the car. "No I have to save her! Let me go!" I try getting away but there's no use. Adrian pins my arms behind my back in a tight grip and sebastian starts driving. I look out the window from behind and see her mouth something with treas steaming down here eyes.

End of flash back.

Marcus pov.

I stand up and stare out the window. To see it raining softly. I walk  outside with my head looking down. The rain starts to spead up, hitting my bear arms and face forcefully. I hold myself for warmth. Tears start to build up in my eyes which make things blurry. "Marcus?" I hear my name called from behind me. I turn to see Genivive.

Gabbys pov

The pain in my chest was unbearable. I sit lay on the snuggling myself for warmth. A ray of moonlight shines through the window. I sit up and stare of the window trying to clear my mind.Droplets of water start to splash onto the window. I sigh heavely and lay back down. The rain starts to come down faster and heavier. "Please rain harder so i can sleep to the sound of the droplets hiting the roof softly." I sign again and close my eyes to the soft sounds of the rain. I wish I can see my friends. I want to talk to them. "Wait justins wacky talky!" I shoot up from the bed and run towards the door. I open it slightly. I creep my head out the door, looking to my left and right. Noticing no one there I knew I was in the clear. I tiptoe out of the room trying not to draw any attention to myself. I look outside to see to figures standing out in the rain. Who is that. "Marcus?, Genivive?"
