chapter 4

Gabby's pov

The bell finally rang to signal all the students that was time to go home.

I walked to my locker and put my books inside so they'll be ready for me in the morning. I waited for Toby in front of the school building.

I turn my head and see him running towards me. "Gabby" I hear him yell my name with a cheerful tone. I look at him and smile "Hey where you been" I ask him curiously. "Oh sorry I ran out of my class then I was stopped by Mr. Geraci." he said with a nervous smile. "oh really what did he say." I said with a smirk. He looked at me and stutterd "um he um, asked if I enjoy staying here." "oh ok. So what did you say hmm."

I said a bit concern. He gave me another nervous smile. I glared at him until he spoke up. "Your friends came up to me." I glare even more, "who did and what did they say." He looked away and blushed. I repeated myself, "Toby who and what did they say." He looked at me and spoke, "Laura, Natalie, and Megan. They said that you wouldn't stop talking about me at lunch and that you like me and ya." I turn away blushing. I'm going to kill them. Toby spoke up and broke me from my thoughts. "they asked me not to tell you, but it looks like I had to. Well shall we go?" I look at him and give him a fake smile,"ya sure but can we stop by my house first." He smiles and nods. We walk out. He turns to me and stops. "what's wrong." I ask. "Do you want a ride to your house, and after we can walk around." He asked waiting for an answer. He has a car! Hmm he's being such a gentlemen. I nod and we walk towards his truck. Once we get to his truck, right away he opens the door for me. "What a gentlemen" I say with a smile.

I give him directions to my house. He nods and starts to drive. Once we get there he turns off the engine and runs to my door to open it. I walk out and open the front door to my house. I walk in with Toby walking in behind me. "Mom" I yell to see if she's home, but it was silent. "Hmm I wonder where she went." I say with a curious tone in my voice. I turn to see Toby looking around. "Hey I have to do something upstairs. Stay down here." He looks at me and nods then sits down. I run upstairs to my room to change into something comfortable.

Toby's pov

I see Gabby run upstairs. She has a nice home. I stand up to look around. I turn my head and see pictures of her and her family. Huph she looks so cute. I can't wait to meet her family one day. I bet there as lovely as her. "Toby you still there" I her my name so I turn around to see Gabby standing on the stares changed into a different outfit. She was wearing a yellow dress with flowers on it and a jean jacket with a pair of black converse. Aww she looks so cute in that outfit. "Earth to Toby. You still there." I here her say breaking my thoughts. "Oh ya. You changed." I manage to say without blushing like crazy. "Ya. Why do you not like it? I can change back if you want." She says with her smile disappearing. "Oh no its fine. You look cuter in that. I mean um." I said blushing a little. She smiles and starts to blush even more. Wait did I just call her cute. Crap now she thinks I'm weird. "I mean you look um I um" Crap if I take it back she'll think I'm a jerk. "Your so awkward"

she said picking up my chin. "Its a good awkward." she said looking into my eyes. My face was as red as a tomato. She then grabbed my hand and pulled towards the door.

Gabby's pov

I walk out with Toby holding my hand. His hand was warm. Go back to reality Gabby. I let go of his hand and lock my door. I turned to him after "So where do u want to go first."I say smiling. "Well you do know this town like its your own. So you can choice were to go." he said with a smile. I replied "Well I know this great sushi place close by."I said pointing out the directions. "Ok sure I like sushi." Toby says trying to keep his cool. I giggle and start walking ahead.

later that afternoon~~~~

Toby's pov

"This is so good" I said with my mouth full of sushi. Gabby laughs at the sight of me. We soon finish. The waiter comes over with the check. Gabby reaches her hand out to grab it but I grab it before she can. She looks at me and I smile at her."Can I see it." she says a little annoyed. "I can't do that" I said with a smirk on my face. I open it to see the price, then I take out my wallet. "Fine I at least will give a tip." she said taking change out of her wallet. I pay the waiter and she puts a tip on the table. We soon left and walked around.

later that night~~~~

Toby's pov

I hear Gabby laughing at my stupid jokes. She laughs a lot and she always smiles that's what I like about her the most. "So Gabby for how long have you lived in this town." I asked. "I've lived her my whole life." she answers. "have you ever wanted to leave and do something with your life after you finish High school." I asked her continuing the conversation. "Yes I have. I want to travel after high school" she said so interested. "travel where?" I asked with interest. "Everywhere!" she said twirling around in circles. "I want to see the world and live the dream of my mother." she said looking at me. I can see twinkles in her blue eyes. That made me smile. "Going around the world would be a dream come true, but-" she stops and looks at the ground. That twinkle I saw earlier was gone. "But what?" I said with concern. "I cant." she said frowning. "Why not" I asked walking closer to her. "I can't, I have to stay here." she says almost crying. "Why." I ask again. She turns away holding herself "I have to stay because I promised my father that I won't leave my mother." I walk even closer and hug her trying to comfort her. She turns to me and puts her head on me chest hugging me back. "why don't you just take her with you if that's her dream as well." She looks up to me. She has tears in her eyes. "I can't she sick. That's why my father doesn't want me to leave her. He wants me to take care of her, so I do." " why doesn't he take care of her" I asked. "He can't he's never home. He always works on his big project." she said in a mocking voice. "Oh I'm sorry I asked Gabby." I let her go and turn my head away from her. She comes up to me and picks up my chin. She walks close to me. Very close. "it's alright." Her face was an inch away from mine. She leans in closer and closed the gap in between us. I'm kissing her. She's kissing me back. I shut my eyes kissing her back. She broke the kiss and smiled. That was my first kiss. Was it her first kiss. Nah I doubt it. "that was my first kiss" I said to her smiling. "That was also my first kiss." she said. I was shocked at that. I smirk "your not a bad kisser" She smirked too "your not bad yourself." I smiled and leaned in until our lips pressed together. She broke it again. I looked into her eyes "Gabby will you be my Girlfriend?" She smiled "Of course I will." After that we walked hand and hand back to her house. The rest of the night I felt happy.
