chapter 6

Gabbys pov

As Toby drove me home after school there was silence. I wonder what he's thinking. I finally built the courage to speak. "What's wrong there's something bothering you isn't there."

He stops the car right in front of my house jerking me forward. "There's nothing wrong" he says trying to reassure me. But it wasn't working. "What's wrong Toby? I'm worried." I said staring at him. He turns to me and gives me a small smile. "Fine. If you don't want to tell me I'll just go." I said stomping out of the car and walking towards my house. "Gabby!" I knew that was going to work. Every time. I turn around and tilt my head a little "Yes?" He stares at me "I just was thinking of a way to ask you out again." I smile and start laughing. "Wa-s that all." I said during laughs. He nods his head and blushes. "So will you go out with me tomorrow?" I nod  running towards him and give him a hug. I don't think that was bothering him but I'll say yes anyway.

The next day.

Tobys pov

Ok so if she asks again what will I tell her. Should I tell her what happened or keep it between me and Justin. Ugh I don't know what to do. I'll just forget about it. I have to get ready. I walked to my closet and picked something nice and cool to wear. I grabbed a blanket and a basket full of food. I didn't tell her where were going because its a surprise. I finish getting ready and I head to my car. I hide the stuff in the back of the car and start to drive the car to her house.

A couple minutes earlier

Gabbys pov

Ok I better start getting ready before Toby gets here. I run to my wardrobe and pick a spigetty strap salmon dress with flowery lace on the back of the dress. I let my hair fall down with curls at the tip of them. I then grab my jacket and wait for Toby downstairs.

The present time

Gabbys pov

I walk into my parents room and see my mom asleep on the right side of the bed. The left side is empty. That basterd. I cringe at the sight of my father gone. So I walk up to my mom and kiss her on the forehead. I pull a blanket over her then walk down stairs. As I walk down stairs I see Marcus making breakfast and watching the weather channel. "Good morning little sis" he greets my with a smile. "Good morning older bro" I say smiling back. "Whoa where are you going so dressed up." He says shocked. "I'm going out would you tell mom for me please." He looks at me with concern in his eyes "Dad told you not to leave mom alone. Besides did you check the weather." He says pointing at the screen. 70% chance of rain 75% chance of lightning and thunderstorms. Crap. Why know? Why today? "I'll be fine and plus I asked you to tell mom I won't be here. That jerk I so call father said that she needs to know so you can tell her when she wakes up." He looks back at me "don't use that language around me and I won't tell mom." I look at him with puppy dog eyes and a quivering lip. "Pleeeaassseee." He narrows his eyes at me "Ugh fine I can't say no to that quivering lip." He says annoyed. "Yay thank you I love you." I run up to him and give him a kiss on the cheek. I then hear a knock on the door. "Toby!" I yell cheerfully. "Toby?" I hear my Marcus say confused at that unknown name. I run to the door and open it to see Toby on one knee holding out a bouquet  of flowers. "Aww your so cute" I said smelling the flowers. "Gabby who's that?" Marcus said raising an eyebrow. "Oh this is Toby Arker he's my boyfriend." I turn to Toby the back to Marcus. "Boyfriend!?" Toby walked in and introduced himself. "Hello I'm Toby. Its a pleasure to meet you." Toby said holding out his hand. "Marcus Blackbird. Gabby's older brother, the pleasures mine."  "Hey Gabby I didn't know you had a brother?" Toby said turning to me. "Ya hey Gabby I didn't know you had a boyfriend?" I gave them a nervous smile "Oh umm it never came up." I said rubbing the back of my head. "Never mind that. Gabby are you ready to go." Toby said tapping my shoulder. "Huh. Oh right just let me get my purse from upstairs. I'll be right back." I ran upstairs quickly.

Toby's pov.

"So your Gabby's so called boyfriend. Huh." I gulped. "Umm yes." He narrowed his eyes at me. "So where are you taking my little sister. My only sister." I studderd a bit, "i-its a surprise." I bit my lip. Gabby how long are you going to take. "Well then I better get going then I don't want to be late for work. Tell Gabby I said bye." Marcus said opening the door."Oh and Toby take care of Gabby today. Good care." I gulped. He then left. I turn back around because I hear Gabby running down the stairs. As she's running I notice her shoelace is untied. She steps on it and trips. Before she hits the group I rush to her and break her fall. She falls right on top of me. She looks up and blushes. She starts to get up but accidently puts a hand somewhere it shouldn't be. I blush and she immediately jumps up and falls back. "I'm so sorry that was an accident!" She yells trying to cover her tomato face. I get up of the ground blushing "Its fine it was an accident." She signs in relief.

Gabbys pov.

I'm so embarrassed I can't believe I did that. He might think I'm a perv Ugh my face is probably a tomato. I get from the ground and was pin to the wall. I gulp at how close Toby was to me. "Was that really an accident." He whispers in my ear. My face is probably worst than a tomato. He leans in and closes the gap in between us. He passionately kisses me. He's lips are so soft. He breaks the kiss and stares into my eyes. "Are you ready to go." He says walking towards the door. I nod and follow him. Toby opens the door for me and we walk towards his truck together. This is a long drive. I wonder where he's taking me. I break the silence "so where are we going." He turns towards me "anywhere as long as its with you." He says looking at me then turns back on the road. I smile and give him a kiss on the cheek. "Your so sweet."

Couple minutes later

Gabby's pov

He did let me see where we stopped. He put a blind fold over my eyes before we finally left the car. "Why do I need this" I said trying to take the blind fold off. "Leave it on. Its a surprise." He says putting my arms to my sides. "Why can't I just see where we are going?" I said holding on to his arm. "Because it won't be a surprise now would it." He says guiding me somewhere. "Er fine." We walked a bit before I can take the blindfold off. "Ok know you can take it off." Toby said helping me take it off. I take off the blindfold and open my eyes. I am left wide eyed at what I'm staring at.
