Gabby's pov.

I woke up in the truck. It was moving. Toby must have brought me here and we're headed home. I sit up straight and was greeted by Toby. "Well hello sunshine." He said in a sarcastic voice. "Huh" I managed to say. He chuckles and points at my face. "Huh what." I feel my face and feel something wet. What the? am I drooling. I wipe the drool of my face. "Hmmmm" I cross my arms and look out the window. "So were you dreaming about me?" He says breaking the silence. "Huh No what made you think that?" I said nervously. "Oh nothing. Just you saying my names a couple of times." He said in a teasing voice. "I did not!" I hissed at him. "Ok whatever floats your boat." Him and his sarcasm. "So where do you want to go eat?" He says looking back at the rode. "What happened to the basket?" I titled my head. "Oh I left it in the back but its spoiled and wet so I don't think you want to eat that." He nods. "Ok how about some burgers. Does that sound good?" I nod and he's starts driving to the resturant.

Minutes later

Toby's pov.

I opened the front door to the resturant for Gabby. She went inside first then I went in following her. We sat down a order food. Once our food came we instaintly started eating. We talked and talked the whole time. "Hey Toby you have some ketchup on your cheek." I put my hand on my face and tried to wipe it off. "Here I got it." She leaned in a bit with a napkin and wiped it off. I stared at her. She turned her head and stared into my eyes. I stared into hers. I leaned in but she moved her face away from mine and sat back down. She was blushing. I don't blame her she just mothered me." You just mothered me." She sat up straight. "No! Maybe? Ugh I just can't stop enbarressing myself can I" I smiled " its cute." She smiles back at me and started to laugh. I laughed along.

That night.

Gabby's pov

After dinner we walked around a bit. He talked about his family and I talked about my mom and brother. "Hey Gabby" I turn my head. "Why don't you talk about your dad?" I looked at him in shock and then had anger in my eyes."what's to talk about. He's never home and all he cares about is his stupid project other than his family with a sick wife and his son and daughter that miss him and just want to spend time with him but instead he has to go off and play with his technology to help society. Well you know what, I want his project to go horribly wrong!" I looked back at Toby and see his shocked and a bit frightened face. "I'm sorry I kind of get carried away sometimes." His expression turn into a frown. "No sorry I asked." I giggle and kiss him on the cheek. "Does your brother like me?" He asked concerned. "Of course he does he just gets over protective sometimes." I say with a smile. "Yeah I understand." He response. "Hey do you want to meet my mom?" I said cheerfully. "Yeah, why not?" I pulled him from his arm and pull him towards his truck. Once we get to my house he gets out and opens the door for me and we walked towards the front door. I can see the lights from inside she's still wake. I open the locked door and invite Toby inside. "Mom I'm home." I say walking through the door. I turn to the kitchen and see my her make dinner. "Hi mother" I say sweetly. She turns towards me, "well hello Gabriela how was your nigh-" she paused for a moment then spoke up. "Gabby who's your friend. I turn to Toby, "oh this is Toby." He spoke up. "Hello Mrs. Blackbird. Its a pleasure to meet you." He says greeting her. "Well nice to meet you." She says with a smile. "He's my bo-" Toby cuts me off. "I'm her really close friend." What? Did he just friend zone me? What is he doing?

Toby's pov

"I'm her really close friend." I say knowing whats about to happen. Gabby turned to me with a shocked face. "Oh how sweet your such a sweetheart  Toby. Gabby don't you agree." Gabby narrowed  her eyes towards me. "Ya what a sweetheart." Oh ya I'm screwed now "ok guys I'm going to eat dinner upstairs then get myself ready for bed. Have a goodnight." I nod towards Mrs. Blackbird trying to avoid Gabby's stare. She walked up stairs with a plate of food. Once she left Gabby spoke up. "What the hell?" I gulped. "I just didn't think telling your mother right now wouldn't of been a good idea." She glared at me. "What are you getting at?" Crap yup I'm getting my ares kicked. "Can we talk about this later please." "Fine or we can talk about this never." I walked right into that one. Smart move Toby. Just for trying to be a gentlemen. She ran upstairs. "Gabby please let me explain!" I yell trying to get her attention. She turned around with tears in her eyes. "Why are you still here?" She says in an anger voice. "Gabby I-" "just leave me alone." She cut me off then ran upstairs. I walked to my car and got in. "Nice Job Toby. You ruined things with your Girlfriend. Your such a moron. She hates me now." I yelled at myself punching the steering weal. "I have to fix this."
