America Alone [On Hold]

The Truth

- Celeste's POV -

I run after America as she runs to a restroom. I walk I into the restroom and knock on the only locked stall.

"America are you okay?" I ask.

"No!" America shouts and continues to throw up.

"I am right here, if you need anything." I state and lock the door to the restrooms.

Nobody needs to see this.

"I should have told him. I knew I should have told him." America mumbles after the toilet flushes.

"Told who what?" I ask and America opens the door.

"Celeste promise you won't tell anybody anything." America says and washes her face.

"I promise. Now tell me." I tell her and she turns of the faucet and walks away from the sink.

"I...I a....am pr...preg...pregna...pregnant." She says and falls to the floor and stars to cry. I walk over to her and hug her.

"What? How?" I ask as I try to comfort her.

"The night before Maxon chose Kriss, Maxon came into my room and told me her was going to chose me. We both were so happy and too into the moment that we did it. After I went home I realized my period was late so I took a pregnancy test and found out I was pregnant."
America says as she stumbles with her words.

"Why didn't you tell him?" I asked.

"He will just take our baby away from me. I can't risk losing the only good thing left in my life." America states and the tears lessen but still threaten to fall.

"America he has a right to know. We should stop the wedding and tell him. If you tell him, he could be yours and only yours again. You can have your own happy family." I say.

"But what about Kriss? I can't snatch her happiness away from her!" America says.

"She isn't even happy with her marriage. She says Maxon is always daydreaming about you. Go America! Go make things right!" I shout and we run out of the restroom to the hall.

As we near the corner and everything comes into our sight we hear, '"I would like to introduce the happy couple.' Prince Maxon Calix Schreave and Princess Kriss Elise Schreave!" The priest yells and everyone in the audience starts clapping and shouts "God save the Prince and Princess"!

No. We were too late.

This is what my version of what happened if the rebel attack didn't happen and Maxon chose Kriss.
Also in this story Maxon and America make love on the night Maxon tells America he is going to choose her.
