It ends up in the space of 20 minutes, I had shown Lucas most areas of the school, so he won't get lost on the way to a class. I also learnt a little about him as well. Turns out this is the 5th school he has attended in the last 2 years, so he is quite used to being the new kid. His last school was somewhere in America, New York I think. That he has a little brother called Blake and his parents are divorced.

So overall it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. He is also going to start sitting with us a lunch too. I don't know why but this made me a little happy. Ever since I first met him, I felt happier than usual. Is it a small crush developing? Nope, no way, only known the guy 2 days. He could be a crazy serial killer for all I know.

But what made me more happier than the thought of Lucas Brighten was that it was officially the weekend. Thank god, cue the Katy Perry song.

A whistle sound erupted from the phone. Hm wonder who texted me. I think to myself.

Carson- Hey Lori, just wondering if you are free tomorrow, cause me and mum are going to the mall and I could use some company. You know what my mum is like.

I laugh at the final comment. Yes her mum is a bit of a shopzilla if that is even a word. She yells at workers if they do the slightest thing wrong and well you get the point.

Lori- Yeah I'm free, can you pick me up tomorrow at around 10?

Within around 30 seconds I get another text.

Carson- Yep 10 is fine, I'll see you then and thanks your the best Lori.

I place my phone against my desk and then fall back onto my double bed. I close my eyes and before I know it I'm asleep.

I wake up feeling cold and uncomfortable, I rub my eyes and blink them a few times waiting for them to adjust. I then notice I have no blankets on and my back is arched as I'm slowly sliding down the side of the bed. "Ow." I groan. "Well, that was a pretty weird place to sleep." I say to myself.

I slowly stand up and immediately notice the tightness in my back. I stretch it out for a bit to loosen it and hear a few cracks. Ew but relieves the pain.

I look at the time and notice it's 9:30am. Oh no. I think. I have to get ready. I quickly have a shower, get dressed, brush my hair and teeth but skip breakfast. I'm not exactly a fast eater. By the time I'm ready it's 10:03 and no sign of Carson. Phew being late this time wasn't exactly a bad thing.

5 minutes later there is a knock at the door. Thinking its for me I open the door but unfortunately it's not Carson. It's none other than Mason's best friend Tyler.

"Hey Lori, is Mason here?" He asks.

"Um yeah I think so, but I haven't seen him this morning." I say.

He smirks. "Oh ok well why don't me and you hang out then."

I laugh. "I swear to god, ever since I met you Tyler you have been such a player. I wouldn't be surprised if you hit on a dog."

He shrugs his shoulders. "You know me Lori, just doing my job.

I roll my eyes and smile, while letting him through the door. "Just go upstairs he is probably in his room."

"Who's in who's room?" We suddenly hear and turn around to see a tired looking Mason, slumping down the stairs.

"Hey Mason, what up man." Tyler says looking for a high five, but not getting one.

"Um, it's good to see you and all but what are you doing here." Mason asks.

"Well..." He starts. "I just got bored and well you know."
