The next morning, I woke up to nine boys helping my mom set the dinner table. Supposedly, the other boys decided to come too in light of Jeongin's injury. I noticed that Jeongin's bandage was completely gone, his stitched up wound on display. As soon as I saw it, I ran over to him. "Jeongin, why don't you have a bandage over your shoulder?"

His smile lit up the room as usual. "Your mom was going to change it out before you woke up, but she told me that I don't need one anymore as long as I take care of my cut."

I touched the cut gently. I don't know why I did. I just did. I could tell that my mom was right though. The stitches had started coming out on their own and there was no sign of infection. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried at least. I smiled a little, reporting his lack of infection. As soon as I did, my arms wrapped around his torso as I pressed my head to his chest, overjoyed that he was healing well. He seemed hesitant to hug me back, probably because he was shy, but he eventually did.

After my parents left, Jeongin and I were practicing inseparable. We acted like we were just friends in front of my parents though. The other boys were around too, of course but they were generally doing their own things, wanting to give me and Jeongin some space.

When my parents got home, I was honestly sad that the boys had to go. More specifically that Jeongin had to go. Don't get me wrong, I was happy that my parents were home. With my dad's job, there's always a possibility that he won't come home at all. I was just sad that my little ray of sunshine had to leave.

Anyway, I stayed up later than I normally would have, mainly because I couldn't sleep. It was one of those nights where you felt like you were being watched, which made it impossible to fall asleep. In an attempt to solve this problem, I went downstairs to get a glass of milk. When I came back to my room, something covered my mouth, making me lose consciousness. Ironic, right?

When I came to, I instantly understood the situation: I had been kidnapped. I vaguely had an idea who was responsible: Seojun and his gang. In all honesty, I was horrified, but I would never show it. I looked around. I appeared to be in a regular looking living room, but one thing set off that vibe. There were no windows, which made sense. Who would kidnap someone and put them in a room with windows?

Anyway, I tried to stand up, only to find that my ankles were tied to the legs of a chair and my hands were tied to the back of the chair. How had I not noticed that earlier? Before I could think of an answer to my question, a door on the opposite side of the room opened and a man entered the room.

Seeing that I was awake, the man approached me, leaning down and putting his hands on either side of my legs on the chair. He spoke with a serious tone, his head tilted slightly. "So you're the girl our maknae has been talking about. Normally he has a...unique taste in girls, but you're quite cute. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'm a bit too old for you, and Seojun wouldn't appreciate my touching his girl."

He stood up straight and walked behind me. "You know, Seojun didn't get the message from your parents that he was fired from being your protector. He went to your house yesterday, and what did he see? He saw his girl, the first girl he's ever kissed, with nine boys from our rival gang. Now imagine his heartbreak. As his hyung and his leader, what would you guess that my initial thought was?"
